There were TV adverts?
The only advert I can remember for a PS3 game is for one of the Resistance games. Nintendo seem to have a Wii advert on every hour at least.

All I remember about FMPONE is him "joining" the Ham and Jam team and being tasked with something to do that day, then later in the day quitting and joining Insurgency...
Must've been all of 8 hours, possibly our shortest try out ever.
A nice lightweight down sleeping bag should keep you warm, plus a decent bivvy bag (ex-army are ok, but there are better) to keep the rain off. Just don't get the down bag wet (sweat condensation/rain) else your life wont be worth living.
At the end of the day there is no one method to creating a successful mod. Nobody can really write a guide to it as it varies for each and every mod.
I've got an original copy of that book somewhere, in super small format from 1993 ![]()
(It was £3.99/$7.50 then)
I take it its all about the MP action, seeing as I just played the single player campaign, on the hardest setting and didn't get anywhere near dieing.
Will have to play some MP another time, not keen on the menu, very "consolified".

Gotta be the slowest download from steam ever, crawling at 40kb/s, usually get 400!
I think a few people are downloading it as according to steam my download will be done in 9.5 days.
Another thing to throw in the mix, being 'original' doesn't necessarily make it fun or give it good gameplay/longetivity. Some of the more popular mods are just rehashes of existing games on different engines simply because the original engine has limitations/low player base etc.
Not sure if it was more original back then because we always look back with rose tinted spectacles. There were certainly some original gems however such as Science and Industry.
Wonder how long Valve will support it for decently before getting on to their next big game, presumably Ep3? TF2 suffered in the wake of L4D and will do till next year, all their other games (and sdk updates ![]()
) suffered in the TF2 dev phase. They keep hiring people, yet seem to put them all on one project rather than having a few side by side!
I'll certainly be giving the demo a go, but from everyone's screenshots I've seen, it really just does look like a HL2 mod (which I guess ultimately it is)
Quote from SteppenwolfMy bad. Replace britain with english then and it makes more sense.
Still leaves all the Moore,Dalton and Craig films
German geography is easier because you simply have one country, not a collection of countries under various names.
But thats besides the point.
Anyone else seen the film? I saw some review in a paper over here gave it 1/5 ![]()
Quote from SteppenwolfNo Casino Royale is not much better then the Brosnan Bonds. Personaly i felt that when Bond reanimated his own heart in Casino Royale was one of the lowest points in the whole Bond franchise. Even Brosnan Bond firing a soviet tank while he drives it wasn't as ridiculous.
Self-Defibriliation isnt a ridiculous thing at all, have you any clue on what Pacemakers these days are capable of? The step from having one implanted inside the body auto-detecting heart problems to having an attachable one isnt very large.
Saying Casino Royale is not much better than, for example Die Another Day, is absolutely ludicrous. Your allowed to have your own opinion but its a quite ridiculous one that I don't think I've ever come across, or know anyone that has vaguely the same opinion. Sure I know plenty of people that don't like Casino Royale, but they all agree its a much better film than the latter half of the Brosnan era which was downright awful.
QuoteDefinitely think the Quantum branch is the new Spectre, at the end Greene was killed by two shots to the back of the head suggesting someone had been sent to find and kill him. Obviously a much higher up player in the group.
Quantum is definitely the new Spectre and I expect them to keep them for the rest of the new Bonds. I loved the nod to Goldfinger with Fields covered in oil (black gold!).
QuoteThere is fresh speculation about the health of North Korea's "Dear Leader" Kim Jong-il, amid suggestions that an image of Mr Kim may have been doctored.
The image, released on Wednesday, appeared to show Mr Kim in good health while inspecting two military units.
But an analysis by the UK's Times newspaper highlighted incongruities around the leader's legs, and the BBC found what look like mismatched pixels.

Looks like he really could be dead or seriously ill.
