    Well the trailer is very nicely made though. I just wonder why they used French in the video's text. Not that it bothers me

    Alright, added a Previously Mapcore-staffed Studios section at the end, with an example. Feel free to offer other ways of presenting it. Also added Sentura's name and Hessi's position.

    Ok I'll work on something like that right now. Anyone wishing to be listed in the history section can reply with the name of the company, their position and the dates (years if you'd like you stayed there)

    Good idea Sjoerd, thanks for your hard work. As far as the US is concerned, perhaps you can come up with a smart idea to differentiate between east coast, west coast and central?

    Very good read there Taylor, thanks for posting it.

    I would also add that while Ubisoft has done things relatively well in the past regarding PC ports, I have yet to find a single company doing a good job of it...... I know my GTAIV and Mafia 2 will be on X360, just as much as playing the Orange Box anywhere but on my PC would feel just wrong

    Final release is some way off. I've come to the conclusion spawn locations need to be tweaked, so that's coming to. I just have other mapping priorities for now. I guess some time within the next 3 months is a good guess

    Sounds like a matter of when rather than if at this point. Take Two execs may say no, I'm not sure the shareholders won't say yes.

    Of course GTA IV added in the balance will be an interesting thing to see. Can one game really make a difference on this scale?

    Been playing Lego Star Wars TCS on my newly acquired 360. Had loved Lego Star Wars 2 on the PS2, so I thought I'd go for the entire saga. Also purchased Rock Band which I have a hard time beating on Expert, the DLC is absolutely awesome though. Then I'll still have Forza 2 and the two games Ubi gave me for Christmas, AC and Naruto.

    On the PC, I recently purchased the max payne bundle off Steam. I always wanted to play through Max Payne again and it wouldn't work with XP, now it does and I got disappointed. It's sometimes best to stick with your fond memories.... I also got Audiosurf out of wanting to see what the deal was, and also to support independent game developers every once in a while.

    Oh and TF2 obviously

    Hey everyone,

    RC4 has been in the works for the past month, with many playtests and hours spent with multiple communities. According to them, the map has improved quite a bit over that month, so it's time for me to see what you all think

    You can download the file as either a zip or a rar archive, off the following links:

    ZIP: http://%7boption%7d

    RAR: http://%7boption%7d

    Many changes have taken place, so without going into too much detail, here is the non comprehensive list from the readme file:

    CP_Studio_RC4

    GAME: Team Fortress 2

    FILE TYPE: Custom Map

    RECOMMENDED FOR 20-32 players

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    CHANGELIST FROM RC3:
    Too many changes to list them all in details, but the most important:
    - Reworked 2nd CP areas to provide much better gameplay.
    - Reworked middle CP to fix gameplay issues/balance.
    - Fixed all known bugs, noticeably the infamous spawn doors
    - Improved optimization.
    - Implemented setup time to create a fast encounter around the middle at the start of each round
    - Multiple grease monkey passes throughout the map
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    MAP DESCRIPTION:

    In dire need of space for more movie studios, Furyo Studios and Pedroleum Studios

    fight it off to entertain the world of TF2.

    The map's gameplay takes both Granary and Well for a spin, and mixes both maps using similar CP setups.

    5 Capture Points total, with two sets of advanced spawn points and a symmetrical layout.

    The map takes place on the movie sets of cartoon remakes of Lord of the Rings, Terminator 2 and Back to the Future.

    Feel free to drop me a line as all constructive comments and feedback are welcome. The map will have a final release

    at some point in the future, once all feedback has been taken into account.

    Special thanks to our friends at Valve for the playtesting and feedback, helpful as usual

    I can't find a reason to dismiss it altogether. It certainly doesn't look like a game I'd play, but there's something fresh about its style that makes me want to know more about it.

    I don't mind they can walk on it, doesn't matter much. I won't block players entirely that's certain, and I can't make them walk through either.

    Valve just sent me more feedback on today's playtest, so while I do have a rc4 in the works for a quick fix in the spawn doors (bug that can kill you), I'll make many changes to the map for the final version in some time.

    Hey everyone,

    Sorry again for the buggy RC1 release, I've worked out the issues and then some, and the map has just finished being tested on a 32 server (Thanks Q Clan)

    The map features CP gameplay set in a movie studios environment, where the world of TF2 shoots cartoon remakes of our popular movies, such as Lord of the Rings, Terminator 2 and Back to the Future.

    You can download it as either a zip or a rar file, at the following links:

    zip (26 Mb) : [email protected]

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    INSTALL TO:
    \SteamApps\username\team fortress 2\tf\maps
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    CHANGELIST FROM RC1:

    - Fixed "ED_Alloc: no free edicts" system crash, that caused servers to crash when running the map with many players.

    - Fixed potential bug in the BTTF spawn areas, making you possibly stuck inside the spawn

    - Improved optimization all over the map.

    - Reduced file size by 5 Mb (~ 10%)

    - Changed the order of spawn points so players start the match after their 2nd CP, for fast paced action

    towards the middle area. Once the middle CP is first captured, spawn order is restored. This should favor offensive players

    and encourage the opposing team to break the captures.

    - Spawn areas

    - Removed the first 2 supply lockers.

    - 1st CP areas

    - Added additional playerclip brushes to prevent exploits being used.

    - Improved the railings geometry and texturing

    - 2nd CP areas

    - Added clear markings on the ground for capture areas

    - Added buildings protection on top of the middle shed at 2nd red CP, to mimic the blue side behavior.

    - Middle area

    - Reworked the tree roots collision to prevent players getting stuck in them.

    - Modified side buildings windows to allow better access in/out

    fight it off to entertain the world of TF2.

    The map's gameplay takes both Granary and Well for a spin, and mixes both maps using similar CP setups.

    5 Capture Points total, with two sets of advanced spawn points and a close to symmetrical layout.

    The map takes place on the movie sets of cartoon remakes of Lord of the Rings, Terminator 2 and Back to the Future.

    This is the first TF2 map I have made, but my commitment to the Source community can be seen in other Source games

    such as DoDS (Camp Packs) and Ubisoft's upcoming Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Elements on the X360.

    Feel free to drop me a line as all constructive comments and feedback are welcome. The map will have a final release

    in a couple months once all feedback has been taken into account.
