the cases are really easy, ehh

I finished it, at that point I also thought it would get boring/overly repetetive.

Do they have external tools for doing that, do they use regular Photoshop and brushes, or do they have an in-editor texture tool for working on the megatexture? Not really seen much of the developer tools. :cool

From the information they released it seems that they stamp decals onto the meshes in the editor but the 'megatexture' on assets is just models with unique diff/disp/norm/spec map imported into the editor from max/maya/whatever and added to the global texture map, aka the megatexture.

Dropbox doesn't have a versioning system (as far as I know), so it's not useful for projects really. One person replaces one file and the whole project goes to hell.

Incorrect, it does have file history/versioning.

Well, not for me. I find the controls very bad. I can't play this game more than 5 minutes.

Thats the 5 minutes you need to get used to them.

I had the same thing (a lot of people had). Once you get past that it's awesome game

I saw the demo gameplay yesterday and it was really crapy. Someone who is working with this game said, that Duke has somany fans all over the world, that they don't care about reviews and stuff, they KNOW this game is GREAT and they know that it will reach sky high selling . . .

Well Bioshock never scared me while System Shock 2 made me shit my pants, the Hydroponics level and the whole Rickenbacker were amazing for that.Bioshock was designed as a game with scary bits that's for sure, even if these bits failed to scare me, but I won't say it was designed as a survival horror in the first place.

On to Bioshock Infinite, it's looking really amazing but that trailer is too short!

I couldn't play SS2 back in the day (so scary), but i was younger. Nowadays the last thing i would be somewhat frightened by (not for entire expierience though:( ) was penumbra and amnesia.

Neither Far Cry was ever open world, FC2 tried but AI and a lot of other things broke that.
