My first play though as the barbarian, I was completely underwhelmed and disappointed. I gave it another go as a monk and explored a bit, crafted some items, etc and started to get into it more and more. I'd say just do your own thing and ignore the quest until you want to move on, the linearity of it thrust me through the beta without experiencing much the first time around.

The thing is, if you remember Diablo 2 and more so Diablo were very linear too. Instead of tight corridors you had large squares but you still went from A to B to C to D.

I tell ya what the beta is really fun.

I really didn't find it that fun

Did you leave your feedback on the beta forums as to why you didn't think it was fun, or you one of those new it's fun to hate types?

I'm definitely not one of those types! Diablo 2 was one of my favourite games when I was growing up, I spent a ridiculous amount of hours on it with my brother and cousin.

I didn't leave feedback though, as I couldn't really put my finger on why I didn't enjoy it. Just didn't feel 'fun' to me, felt very linear and I didn't like the skill system.

    That's understandable.

At first when I got the beta I rolled a Barbarian and I thought meh this game doesn't feel as good as Diablo 2. Then after about 4-5hrs I went and played Diablo 2 and yeah Diablo 3 is far superior for a few reasons:

-It actually looks nice and not pixelated to look at

-The exposed stats in Diablo 3 are nice

-Gear makes sense, I never really knew in Diablo 2 what stat meant what

-The story and dialogue is really nice and fits the universe well

-Removing the skill tree and focusing on skills with modifiers was a really nice break from the old skill tree we've seen 100 times over

-The speed of the combat is a bit quicker compared to the start of Diablo 2, I assume when you have a level 60 character you'll be flying off the handles

-Having a blacksmith to craft items and a shared stash is super nice and fun to sink gold in to

-The combat feels very nice and satisfying, I've played all classes to level 13 and they're all very fun and unique

That's just my tidbit as to why I like it.

At some point I'll get all my notes and throw them on the forum for Blizzard to read.

    then whats the point

Well it's just like life right.

If you spent 8 yrs of 80yrs alive (8 of your 80 levels) washing dishes, your skills would be incredible but now that you are legal to drive, smoke, drinks and have sex you have none of those skills in life, so it's all about balancing.

What I like to do is get a dish washer in my motor home and have my gf blowing me while I'm having a cigarette and a drink while driving. That way I will level up everything equally.

Just got a crazy beefy new gaming rig and started playing Skyrim. It looks amazing and loads like lightning compared to playing it on the PS3. Unfortunately, it loves to randomly lock up my computer every 5-30 minutes of play. Pretty frustrating. Every other game performs perfectly and the temps / memory on my computer all test out ok. Hopefully 1.4 will fix this for me, I haven't had a chance to try out the beta patch on steam yet.

The beta patch really does make a world of difference, definitely grab it when you can

I was getting odd cases where the game would stutter when loading a new area then everything would be a fluid 60FPS.

After I grabbed the 1.4 beta patch everything is smooth as silk the game never drops below 60FPS at 2560x1600. And I don't even have that great of a PC.

I know a few folks that worked there (myself included), glad you didn't get your contract renewed, there are much better places to work that's for sure.

Those guys really fuck you around when it comes to contracts. They didn't renew mine, then about a year after I moved to Canada they emailed me asking if I wanted a job, I politely told them to go eff themselves

We got Book of Cain a few days ago, its pretty awesome and filled with cool art

Yeah it's a really nice book and sets the stage for enjoying the game and story even more when it comes out.

I think it's one of blizzards best books they have released.

level 20, not going to go back to it, boring shitty game, samey mob encounters, nothing interesting in the world, maps are too big, movement is too slow, dungeons are shit after the level 10 one (lots of focus on that because everyone will do it and then keep playing to try and find another one like it).overall, shitty game, time sink, money sink, empty worlds already (15 people in a pvp zone, lol why roll on a pvp server then), pvp is shit and unbalanced, boringly designed arenas that punish melee and reward range, no pvp builds, all skill trees are shit and give you very little rewards considering how tedious it is to level up.

storylines are bland and uninspired, no i don't want to fuck every lizard i meet, no i don't give a shit about dark side/light side because the rewards aren't shown to you often enough or at all.

don't know how anyone can defend this after galaxies.

It's ok to sit there and say something is shitty. Taking in to account that you are a developer, can't you provide feedback with a bit more substance as to why something may be shitty?

I haven't played the game yet I am reading peoples opinions. When I read feedback like yours without any real information to go on, I wonder why you bother posting at all because it feels like you are just trolling.

I killed about 8 or so stormcloaks at this stronghold then I traveled back to town, then came back for some loot.

Another stormcloak was walking around when I arrived, she wasn't hostile but she went up to every dead stormcloak and said "oh my what happened"
