    damn where do you get Crysis and UT3 for under 30L together (or did i misunderstand you there?)

    GameStation. Crysis was £17.99. UTIII was £9.99 Bog Off - Buy one, get another £9.99 or less free. (So I chose, Fallout Collection)

    Got these six games today.

    • [*:tffkq6uj]Fallout Collection
      [*:tffkq6uj]Unreal Tournament III

      [*:tffkq6uj]Republic: The Revolution
      [*:tffkq6uj]Lords of the Realm III
      [*:tffkq6uj]Druuna: Morbus Gravis

    The first three I bought at the shops, to spend some of my first work pay on. Spent under £30 for them all. I originally only wanted UT3 so I can make some use of its engine, since Bioshock never came with an SDK. Same technically for Crysis, but I'll give them both a playthrough.

    The latter three were just picked up by my parents while they were at the carboot today because they were cheap to buy. First time I've heard of them to be honest, so I don't know what to expect.

    Picked up these four games at the carboot yesterday. Would have cost around £15, but I haggled £10 for the lot;

    How about an 'escape the room' style level? A Source version of 'The Crimson Room'.

    +1 vote on this idea here.

    Still trying to improve - Crits would be great.

    I saw a thread recently where 3d Realms shutdown a Duke3d mod for Source. To avoid any potential problem I'm removing all references to Duke Nukem and changing the map name. The problem is all the cool names for a city map are already taken. The best I've come up with so far is CS_Metroplex. Any ideas?

    This suggestion might be considered horrible, but it could have a slight Duke3D reference in the name;

    cs_metronium (Plutonium Pak) / Fullname: Metronium Holocaust (Hollywood Holocaust)

    Just play with words, find an original name that stands out from other maps.

    Picked this up a month back, yet to play it though. Got too much stuff on my queue right now. Stepphen's post has caused me to move it up the list however.

    Picked these few PC games up at the carboot-sale last Sunday, rather cheap (under £15 all in);

    This is not an all new version fyi, but a touch up of the original book.

    Guess it's good thing that I haven't yet had the money to purchase, now that the second edition is out. The lighting and DM gameplay guides on your site are informative and helpful, so I'd deffinitely be making a future purchase for the full book. Do you think there'll be a second edition of your other book anytime soon?

    I was worried that the Pyramid head would be abused as such after playing SH2 because of it's real meaning (As Jetsetlemming already explained) And as we can see... Then again, this game isn't specifically being made by Konami right? It's a US developer this time? I haven't really been following up on this one though. I'd rather much see a more true SH2/SH3-ish game by the original devs.

    It's sort of unfortunate what's happened to the series. They probably should have stopped at 3 but Konami doesn't seem to want to let it go. I don't think Homecoming will be a bad game or anything, it looks alright and will probably play well enough, I just wonder how good a Silent Hill game it'll be. From what I've gathered they've focused more on combat this time around, and really, the series is not about that at all. If anything, it's about how little you can do in the game.

    I'm not sure where I've read/heard it though, but I think Silent Hill 4: The Room wasn't originally going to be a Silent Hill title, which probably explains why it's different from the previous three games.

    Still working on that Duke3D mod of mine. Texture work in the early library section. Still got to make my own bookcases however. Please don't bite.

    I love it. Looks visually pleasing to me and the gameplay looks fun. Deffinitely will be keeping my eyes on this one. The game has a very nice visual style which i feel is lacking in some games - too much dirty brown and busy design - so this is a fresh change.

    Some ideas, one of three choices;

    • [*:xfj99drj]Create an original looking TF2 CP map using the stock assets.
      [*:xfj99drj]Create an enjoyable Portal level not set within the Aperture Science Labs.
      [*:xfj99drj]Create a short HL2SP level (5-10mins) that offers some new/fresh gameplay.
