Another update for Theed Palace, recently released screenshot of the throne room. Again, it's still very WIP.

Quote from Warbybut i think you really should have spend more time with this thing in storyboard form because pacing/storytelling are like none existing ... i have NO fucking idea whats going on
Indeed, though it was my first clay animation afterall, I learned a lot and I have a better idea what I would do if I did it again. Pacing is deffinitely one of those things I'd improve on.
Quote from Warbyif you want to see a movie that gets its message and motivation across without a single word spoken check this out also notice how much slower everything is:
Pretty neat, deffinitely has a more interesting pace to things - especially as it slowly starts to get faster.
Quote from Warbynone the less claymation rocks and you rock for making it
Thanks. I was rather motivated after finish it to doing some in my free time, but that all depends. It was deffinitely fun to work on, yet fustrating at other times. There were some points I had to remake my models to stop them falling down, and other problems during the beginning of the course that wasted time (giving me less time before the final deadline)
I only managed to get this today, which is quite lucky, since it's been over 6 or more months when I finished it;
During 6th Form, I was taking Media Studies as one of my subjects. For the final year I decided to do a short animation using clay, and this was the first time I have done such a project in my life. I learned quite a lot during the production of this. Towards the end I was running out of time and ended up having to quickly drew out my backgrounds and place them over the green screen and pretty much did a quick job of the sound work (ripped from Half Life 2 and Doom)
As for the story, I intentionally left it vague for the viewers to decide for themselves what is going on and why. Hearing peoples' opinions on what they thought and what their interpretation of the story was quite interesting. You can question as much as you like and make up your own answers at the end. Who are these people? What is their relationship? Why did they go there? What are the demons? And so on. Enjoy!
I personally think the "face" in the rock needs to stand out more, and the dark rock doesn't seem to help here very well.
And now for something, no one cares about;

I wanted to use Hammer some months back to give Quake mapping a shot, but I came across the same problem. Old Worldcraft worked fine though, but I found that too clunky. The only way I found out to make it work in Hammer is to disable your video card (which is more hassle than needed)
I didn't really look any further into this though, since I eventually just switched to gtkradiant (since it supports Quake and works fine)
Quote":3doueddc]Quakis, Call of juarez is an awesome game, you bought it on steam?
