I don't really know why I wrote this, as any early pc gamer, we all know this is the case. I have cooped with the fact that it is the way it is.

The gameplay isn't really screwy, obtuse, and possibly screwed up balance wise? Guess you haven't played the other two games. Balance issues were raged on all sides in both iterations. "Grenade spam" and "Predator's who use anything other than melee/spear are noobs" come to mind.
This whole thing just comes across to me as an abject lesson in what nostalgia does to people. I'm not even saying the new AVP is a bad game -- My personal interest level was only slightly over other-fairly flawed games, like Dark Void, and that was mostly due to the IP. But people are talking about what a fantastic, flawless experience 1-2 were, and I just have to wonder if we were playing a different game ."

Fuck it though, so far I'm having a blast with this! And I didn't even tried neither the Alien nor Predator! 
And omg, having droids has enemies is fucking awesome! Such a nice and simple idea, not sure why it never crossed me before. What it ruins it though, is not being able to crouch, therefor you die a lot when fighting those fuckers because you can't take cover.
What the fuck were rebellion thinking when they removed crouch from the game?
I finished all campaigns on hard. And yup, towards the end was the worst as marine. I dislike that they did not add crouch, but I can see why they didn't. If they had, it would have been to easy against their retarded humanoid AI. Overall I enjoyed the single-player campaigns. Predator was still my favorite.

Well, I have it for the 360. It performs just fine though. I felt the alien campaign, at least in the beginning had the only spots of slight chop.

OH man, Pred Campaign is by far the most fun so far. 3 levels in each character but I love Pred best.
I am really enjoying both sp and mp. Predator Campaign is my fav so far. Most areas of the game look great too. Even the exteriors. I don't know what those silly reviewers are talking about.
That is going to be the lamest thing to happen to a pc game in a long while.

They had the only reviews at the time I posted that. Most user reviews are loving the game. This is one of those games, like stalker, its not for everyone.

I'm a huge fan of the aliens series and I had a blast playing the demo with friends.
Its what the AVP movies should have been.
