lol i would've love to hear like an interview with someone in line
"So how long have you been waiting here for a PS3?"
"Uhh I just walked up here like a minute ago.. heard something about free tvs.. this is the ps3 launch?"

i laughed pretty hard when he started chainsawing yoshi on a gocart... awesome concept for a doom mod.
what a great way to get ad revenue. pssh.
some stuff was pretty cool but it's all pretty superfluous... I'd like to see decent games not like a supped up version of the Mii concept.
ollld ![]()
but hilarious nonetheless. ![]()
ah the weird shadows on that cordoned screen was a lot of that black stuff around the outside yeah also the model dock thingy didnt look like it was getting any shadows or whatever.
Those first person shots are pretty sextacular. That big yellow loader model helps that a good bit.
yeah of course ![]()
if you try the scrin it just auto loses .. not really surprising.
the same technique to pick NOD works for the personality type thing for the AI as well.
aside from the weird shadows of that shot.. the models looks pretty sechs. lol i love that little buggy...
yeah it is kinda hard to differentiate between units... I keep losing where my commando is. I'm not used to the 360 turn around thing and I get kinda lost when I do it too so I won't use that all that much either.
Yeah red alert was my favorite game for years and red alert 2 was just a continuation of the affair... lotta people liked Tiberian Sun but that was ehhh to me cause of the graphics they used and the atmosphere it had.
loving the 'Rig' portable badass turret and the Zone trooper/Commando jet packs too.
When this comes online I think I'll disappear from society for a while. ![]()
the first texture's rust kinda hurts my eyes...
the other tex's are good. ![]()
nice warby. Reminds me of like a bastard scrin/protoss offspring. ![]()
Quote from PolarisPeople dont like Generels because it barely deserves the CnC name what with the worker units (gasp) and campy current events setting. It should of been a campy alternate history or future
I'd say that was a part of it.. I myself didn't really give it much of a chance because it was like fate was not letting me play it.. (i got it but my comp at the time couldnt handle it, later when it could i left a cd in my bros laptop and he went to VA... years later i kinda lost interest in wanting to play it)
I did play it a few times on a friends computer.. actually I think it was vivi's comp but it didn't feel like CnC, it was pretty cool as a game itself though.
ok now back to playin the CnC 3 demo ![]()
eh I wasn't much of a fan of Generals but just about every other one there was.
Graphics are pretty decent this time around, only weird thing I saw was these pixelated shadows.. even when i pushed shadow detail all the way up...
you only get to play as GDI and a couple of missions but I had a good time with it. lol the live action scenes are good too ![]()
doh i've kinda gotten a bit ahead of myself with the instructions..
here.. for the diffuse.. in the material browser click on a sphere go and hit that box next to diffuse below.. and hit bitmap and browse for your diffuse texture. Then hit that go to parent button and scroll down.. you should see a section title 'Maps'. Expand that section and you'll see a whole lotta slots.. the diffuse being filled. For your normalmap hit the 'None' box next to 'Bump' and do like i said before and hit 'normal bump' then that none box then 'bitmap' then find your bump texture.
Do what i said for specular maps under the 'reflection' map as well
then you should have your normal, spec, and diffuse all on your model in max.
lemme know if that confused you.
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars... bout fuckin time if you ask me.
Demo is out, I played it and so far nothin but love
Get it here
anyone else excited bout this?
well if you have a spec or normal map ready to go then just do this.
-- for a normalmap
hit 'm' for the material browser, hit the little square next to the Diffuse box. It will bring up a window with a list of things.. hit Normal Bump and from there hit the box that says 'None' thats next to Normal. That'll take ya back to the same window as before but hit 'Bitmap' this time and search for your normalmap texture. After that hit the 'Go to Parent' button (it has an up arrow on it) near the top of the material browser next the the blue checkered box button.
now add a light and render and it should be on there.
-- for a spec
do basically the same as a normalmap but instead of hitting 'Normal Bump' the first time go straight to 'Bitmap' and just search for your spec and go from there.
hope all that made some sense.
well that's kinda why this is here right? so awesome work like hessi's doesn't go without merit. Anyone who has the work thats spotlight quality would in theory get noticed.
Quote from WesleyTackhttp://www.game-artist.net/forums/they have them almost every month...
they'll be starting a new one soon, keep eyes peeled
they started it.. its not really low poly this month though. It's get the trial version of mudbox and make the funniest thing you can out of the sphere primitive ![]()
I seriously recommend the Canon A620 I've had it for almost a year and it's great, takes like movie up to 60fps, can take really nice shots for textures. Like a bunch of modes for shooting too.
*edit* i just searched for my A620 and found out newegg has an A630, 8 megapixels, 4x zoom all the goodies of the A620 and only $269

wow awesome, I was just wondering what nmrih was up to lately. Level has progressed awesomely darth.
I'm a bit iffy on the stormtrooper myself.
