well the video is nice and usually GC is a big disappointment over and over again, because videos != game.
anyway: the graphics seem very nice from my point of view (which is this video only) i guess this will be PS3 only?

i dont see my critics in your WIP.

those "X" shape struts are still just one bland layer

See no offense, and I do not want to blame you, but this is IMHO one of the issues of DoD:source mapping community...Look at the DoDS maps available @LanManiax, most of them are in beta stage , some of them for ages, and they will probably never be released as final.
As a player who like custom maps (and who is unable to make them himself
), I find this very frustrating.then why dont you pay the mappers? maybe you dont know that this is hard work and sometimes people loose motivation!

screenshots are made on a Xbox360 Version. those screenshot only should give you some inspiration on what you could possibly add to the level, because right now it is a bit too "bland".

the tree should get an extra model when it is fallen. looks weird when all branches stay upwards.
overall i think you got a nice setting but only use like 10% of what you could do with it.
you could add some kind of subterrain parts, munition camps, light areas, wooden bunker-like things. to give you some inspiration i just played my favorit level from call of duty 3 and made some screenshots with a digital camera

welcome aboard. i will check out this map tonight.
btw: i am still waiting for dod_push

yeah it is nice looking, but somehow i miss the map around the cool visuals. all your previous levels had a nice layout and "cheap" graphics. now this one seems to have nice graphics but a cheap layout instead.
maybe this isnt meant to be a playable level, no?

yet another generic texture

@jenno: you should make some seperations between those grid like things. if looks like it is made without any drills out of one piece. you should add those drills and add visible borders between construction parts (like each strut is its own part)

jaboo: the first one is nice. the second one seems to use some unsharp reference.
i checked out how my wall turns out ingame:

the problem is all textures you use were used in french themed maps so automatically i see a connection to a french environment. your work does look nice, but it fails in hitting the german setting i would have in mind.
if you need help with resources pm me and i can send you a few GB of photos.

Quote from buddy the designer
It is ! He made the model.
- Just cut the glass and compile both models with his respective material.
but this makes it two models! but that doubles collision time + extra render batch.
in my eyes it is really bitchy to search for such problems. this is a damn nice map.
two textures, one for the body, with no alpha channel
one for the glass, a smaller texture, with alpha channel
you can control the properties of the materials, and get away with probably a smaller amount of tex memory and probably better performance as you haven't got a massive sheet of texture with only tiny parts alpha'd
no. surface behavoir is conrtolled by the qc file which results in one material per model (not texture like material!)
You can assign glass polies to a bone which can have diferent surface properties, there's nothing you can't do in source

i demand a complete tutorial. with screenshots and example code!

i used 2 cameras:
EOS 300D with 18-55mm default lense + 90-300mm Canon EF lense
Canon Ixus I70 (was some kind of back up camera when batteries/memory go flat)
