And back in the days they sucked for gaming

Intel Macs can boot Windows without any emulation. hence they support games as every other computer.

thanks for quoting, but if you are looking for cube maps:

    for spherical projections:

i also wrote a small MEL script for rendering the cube maps (you have to keep the render view open before execution )

    Looking for quality and power?http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/

quoted for truth! if you are willing to experience a new OS for graphic design and work, then Mac OS would truly be worth a look! the pricing is of course a little bit higher, but if you know a teacher or are a student you self you can save some $$$. the macbook pros are updated frequently. the new LED displays kick ass. they save lots of battery life and are much brighter. when buying "regular" notebooks you might get hardware not as good, while apple has a good name regarding quality. i never heard of a mac user not being happy with his book. i only heard of people saying apple/mac is shit, when they didn't even own/used a mac

regarding gaming on notebooks: don't do that! if you are a hard core gamer, then get your self a nice desktop rig. if you want to play old games via emulation, then i wouldnt care.

that's already a good start. try being as critical as possible to yourself! don't try to find excuses like "i am new at this.". being new is fine, but that won't change the bar i measure stuff on. hopefully you are willing to prove to me/us that you have still hidden talents. feel free to post in the WIP forum all your new project screenshots.

Note: never show your old stuff, except it was top-notch when it was made!

despite the things i mentioned in my first post:

+ he has lighting in his maps

    - lighting is always grey and frustrating

+ he uses correctly aligned textures

    - he doesn't follow the settings in the architecture

sure its above the average beginner map, but the over all quality of his maps is beginner level. so yeah better tell him the truth.

you said you were posting maps. all i see is shit

this might sound hard to you, but i am SO SICK of those bullshit fun-/what-ever-maps. how dare you post in a place where the usual quality level is like 1000times higher than the kind of maps you post. i am talking of full maps (de_, cs_, dod_, ....) that take months of hard work.

    ok i got a question:

i am thinking of purchasing some electronics in Canada/US and since they have different plugs than we have here in europe i was wondering if i could put a regular "german" cable into such an adapter box:

    [Blocked Image: http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/5504/lcdcordvi4.jpg]

most notebook come with those AC adapters and only the wiring seems to differ for the power plug in the wall.

to make my question even more clearer: can i use this german cable instead of this american one?

those movement vectors seem to be kind of useless since the player movements does not depend on the level alone. significant are also the current enemy positions.

anyway i think it is nice having tools that help optimizing the game flow in a level. thanks for the work!

e-freak: if you are interested: i consider selling my Intuos 3 A4. i bought it for 400Euro in the summer of 2005. i had no problems with it and its condition is still pretty good. if this would be an alternative to you, then we could possibly make a good deal.

btw: at the office someone got the 21UX cintiq today. i am so jealous!
