I've not really been bothered by this since Arma 2 came out, since that's developed by the original developers and this is by an in-house codemasters team. But having seen some of the newest footage, I'm quite interested in it. Graphics wise, it's no Crysis but it looks decent enough but it's the attention to detail I'm impressed with, recording sounds of vehicles and guns directly from their real life counterparts and motion capturing animations of soldiers operation equipment, which is really cool. It's not gonna be as complicated as the original or Arma 2 (it's being released for consoles so go figure...) but that's fine, so long as there's enough meat to get into there over the likes of say MW2 (although totally different games).

Storyline is also quite cool, a Russian island being invaded by China in order to control the oil supply below ground and then the Ruskies call their "best friends" the Americans in to help them out, kinda the opposite to Arma 2's storyline. Wonder if we'll get support from Russian infrantry too? Time will tell.

I'm at work so can't post any videos, check gametrailers and IGN for the latest media, the storyline "comic" is especially nice.

Gonna postpone my purchase to play through RTCW again beforehand, might be old but it still looks pretty nice in places, I love the Nazi skins, so detailed

Is that the 15 minute video walkthrough? I can't see it as I'm at work, but I was watching a video playthrough of one of the levels where you have a whack a guy who didn't pay his protection money, it plays just like Mafia did, feels like playing the original with amazing graphics, the cutscenes are daw-droppingly good, excellent animation/voices/direction much like the original. Also lots of swearing, like every 10th word, unlike the first's occasional profanity being uttered

Does this have any kind of DRM on it? If not, I'm gonna get it on Friday.

He gets more damaged as the game progresses too, gotta love that touch, other than Max Payne 2/Resident Evil 2 I can't think of another game where the character model changes to accomodate damage received.

Sorry to hear you're having a rough time mate, hopefully things will be better for you. Don't leave us completely! Keep visiting periodically so we know you're ok, we might make fun of you from time to time but we totally respect you and hope for the best.

It's out now on PS3 and Xbox 360, PC version comes a month later with extra graphical polish. Apparently being rated as "the best comic book character game" ever.

Pc Zone hyped up the game a lot before release and although it got a good review it was deemed as being disappointing compared to the original premise blue prints. Other magazines and sites hardly touched it and the sales didn't really amount to an awful lot, probably why Xatrix folded soon after. Thus why it is zee underrated title.

Looks amazing, the texture detail is incredible.. this gonna be a huge hit!

I tried that, it's not a problem and never has been before. I've messed about with the settings for the monitor and nvidia panel and I've managed to get it back more or less to what it was... I have no idea what happened D:

I don't seem to have a DVI port on the monitor, it's a Relisys TL766-RU(B) which I've had since 2005. Seems to be ok now, I'll keep you all posted if it goes again and try swapping the VGA lead if I can find a spare one.
