Rage works fine now. What are you on about. Get some internet and patch it.

Wait, I forgot RAGE is the first rocky PC release ever. id has blemished an other wise pristine record.

I never bought the game. And its widespread, basically uniform behavior on AMD hardware (roughly ~40% of the market) is different from a buggy launch or something. It's also got UI/control issues on PC, for example by default it has mouse smoothing and you need to use a launch option or cfg edit to disable it, and apparently if you turn down the mouse speed enough it becomes apparent that thumbstick-esque behavior like jumping to hotspots and deadzones etc. are in the game's mouse behavior.

I did, I'm running ATI, and it works great now. Having a blast, I'm at Well Spring, checking out some vehicle parts, gonna go kill some bandits vroooooooooooooooom

If id didn't or couldn't put in the proper work to make Rage a proper PC game then they should've either not released a PC port, or used Unreal Engine 3 for its PC support.

DICE's choice in beta maps is odd. It was the same with BC2 and port valdez, what a fucking punishing grind of a level to introduce your game. They're good maps but using them as a first impression implies way too much faith in peoples patience. The metro park sections are pretty similar that way. The map is fucking great, but you only realize it after a few hours of cursing and bitching like a little bitch.

That shit that was going around way back in the film industry about voice over narration being lazy film making? Yeah, all writing on game design is basically our version of that bullshit. Times 10.

SF4 had the best art direction of any game on these consoles and it still shows through even with a weird ass contrast filter. Will buy.

Also I've realized I can only play SSIV with Chun-Li with any shred of competence, I'm a shitty fraud of a player. If I can't win I feel bad about everything. Goddam that game.

Lost to a shitty Gouke player last night. And a shitty Ryu, the kind of match where you recognize every mistake you make, as you make it, and then continue to make mistakes 'cause you're a sad piece of shit.

    What thread am I in.

Ironically, nearly every product we use in the modern world is made with petroleum. Which is why we're so fucked in 20 years lol.

Maybe Woody Harrelson was right, we gotta start using hemp to build airplanes n shit

Because it was put in a place obviously never meant to be seen by more than maybe a handful of people, or no one, and most likely as a joke. Which leads me to assume people would also get upset at the fact that people say terrible things in private. Which would then lead me to believe they're complete fucking idiots.

I've been kinda baffled by this too over the past few years. I understand it more in multiplayer, somewhat, for things like "get x kills in a round" or "deal y damage" or "get z kills without taking any damage", things that are unique and require skill. Single player achievements seem to either be grindfest awards or just completely run of the mill.. Like they might as well just put a timer on and give achievements for every hour you play the game. Not sayin they are all like this, just seems to be the status quo.

They're just fun little side rewards for doing challenges you may never have thought of doing before. It's not like I beat off to my achievement score or anything.

I'd get the hate for the bosses if they were substantial characters like DX1. There's no interactions with them outside of cinematics so what other recourse would I really want to apply to them? Shooting them in the face is the only thing that makes sense.

    Though I only just left

Because that would require time and effort.

Yes, this is what I see in every aspect of this game so far. It will be the title of shame it must carry for all time. If DICE can't recover from this blunder I'm not sure what hope there is for them down the road. They had a good thing going up until the announcement of Battle Log... But they just had to put stats and a server browser outside of the .exe. What a travesty. Please commit the Swedish version of sepuku.
