I want to start learning one of these modeling apps.

I'm fairly proficiant with hammer and want to import brushwork into one of these apps, then manipulate the brushwork to add more detail. I know it's not the best way to learn but I can't take any classes atm.

    Is this possible?

I loved the 1st, never really got into the 2nd.

and that certainly was a cool teaser...

i played this on a server last night and thought it was alot of fun.

    Thinks I liked:

    - Layout, i thought the different paths ans shortcuts were well thought out.

    - Theme was consistant

    - Lighting was natural and ambient light was up enough that people aren't totally dark even in shadows.

    Things I did not like:

    - Getting sniped from the roof top. Not a real big fan of roof tops. I feel it pulls too much away from gameplay as you allow the player 360 degrees of sniping action.

    - A bit large. takes a bit to get the first encounter.

Kickass man! keep up the stellar work.

but then again this was after a long night of drinking so I might have passed out...

call me a sucka but I think i'm gonna buy one soon.

not saying i'll be the first to get one, but i'll definitly splerge as soon as several of the top oems are offering them. Being that AGEIA is licensing the chipset I think you're all mostly right that its just a matter of time before they're intergrated with say a video card.

either way i think the idea is pretty rad. just imagine what you could create not having to worry about too many particles choking up gameplay, especially online...

well from what I hear any content that is locked must be disclosed when submiting to the esrb. I take it this skin wasn't included in the 60 plus page doc that zenimax sent them. maybe the texture artist that slipped it in will be looking for a new job soon. very irresponsible if you ask me. they should hire me, I'd never do something like that. lol

yeah the HD video i downloaded left my mouth salivating. I just don't know if I can justify spending 300 bones for a card that will most likely be outdated with a newer version within a year or so ( all speculation of course).

i hear they almost have volumentric water effects down. I wonder if the current card will support it when they figure it out or if its gonna be a newer chipset.

Adventure games are too shit and serious these days. I think they're afraid to try and be funny, or perhaps they're just no good at it.

it's rumored that al lowe will return from retirement to make a title or two.

if thats true you can expect some good stuff that'll be sure to make you laugh.
