Aye, that lightgun attachment looks mint...

Anyway, notice how if you turn the remote to the side, the d-pad and the small-case a and b buttons resemble the GameBoy Micro...

No... Zeox's post is IGN's mock-up for how it might look hooked up to a 'shell' (in the form of a GC pad)... the actual controller is the TV Remote-looking part. Apparently you can swing it around, and there was some fishing game too, I can't wait to see if it lets you swing it as the sword in the Revolution version of Zelda.

Yeah, glad to see Nintendo still keeps on innovating. I hope they make enough money so they can make something fresh and innovative the next-next-gen too.

    Started mapping with Duke 3d.

I always wanted to but Build's 3D view never worked for me! And of course I didn't have/know the interweb well back then so couldn't 'fix' it.

That title screen is so ace, and makes you feel much more stealthy than actually playing the game. I only found out about 5 years ago that you could 'open' some paintings as secret doors. D'oh, no wonder I never got to the last level.

The Pro Evolution Soccer games - I loved the ISS ones on the '64 but this is just perfection.

For console games it had to be when I went round my friend's house and he had a NES with Mario and Duck Hunt. Duck Hunt was good but Mario... oh my. I pestered my dad into getting me a NES, and instead he got me a SNES for Christmas (with Mario World). At first I thought the 'Super NES' was some cheap knock-off but Mario World was awesome. My console gaming basically went from there to the N64 and then to like all next-gen consoles.

For PC gaming, I used to get a lot of games from my cousins as their dad was into gaming. However, I remember the first PC we got was an Amstrad 286 with Prince of Persia and F-15 Strike Eagle.

Also had some good ol' times when my cousins brought round all these shareware games their dad got from the cover CD of a mag called 'Computer Shopper'. There was Commander Keen... all those knock offs like Jill of the Jungle, Jazz Jackrabbit and Halloween Harry.

Wolf3d was my first FPS, but I basically skipped over Doom (tho I did play the shareware) since it never really interested me.

And YES... I remember Alleycat! I thought I was the only one in the world who'd ever played that game.

We used to take turns seeing how many times we could jump over that dog in the hub bit, he was scary as feck. My brother got pretty good and eventually was able to jump him 100% of the time. Although sometimes thrown bottles'd get him.

    Great thread, btw.

Good stuff, although I wouldn't mind seeing one of those models textured.

Don't worry, KFS, he's from Barcelona.

I wonder if, once they're all released, he'll go back through them fixing issues, adding voices and even adding little extras for players who've played it episodically?

    Spider-Man 2.

And pretty much any FPS, RTS or God Game.

Adjust your mapping... also, you can add a UVW Unwrap modifier on top of the UVW Mapping one, and (carefully!) adjust the co-ords... just don't go overboard and make the pixel size too high or low-res in comparisson with those around it.

    Erm. Nice one, I guess.

You can celebrate by sneaking a tin of Pringles and the word 'eggfart' into IO's next game.

Ironic because Denise Richards is the only one not to get them out in that film. Still, you can always buy Wild Things on DVD...

Yeah I know, I just didn't want to offend the Americans on the board.

Don't forget the Nazi-style uniforms the Earth forces end up wearing... the SS-esque trenchcoat worn by Casper Diem's psychic friend.

Try buying a desktop fan (and opening your case)... it worked really well on my overheating Alienware laptop this Summer.

Edit: Oops, that's what I get for not reading the whole topic through.

Well, I don't particularly 'look' for them... but I did find The Island's seemed to pop out.

I don't care about it if it's done in context... I think it's more obvious in sci-fi than a rom-com for example. Or when they get a whole camera shot to themselves. They destroy the suspension of disbelief.

The movie's about American politics. I believe the original book by Heinlein was about Fascism.

Did anyone else notice the (unintended since the movie was first) parallels between the capture of the Brainbug and the capture of Sadam as portrayed in the media?

I haven't downloaded the demo yet, does it 'feel' good? Does it have that good FPS feel, or does it feel a bit ropey?
