I don't consider most of modern design and architecture Bauhaus anymore. We have overcome this era and found methods and techniques to produce more organic and detailed stuff for afforable prices. If you look in citys the ugliest buildings are the ones from post war era 50s,60s,70s office and appartement buildings. The ones that are most influenced by bauhaus in their style. It was necessary back then to build them but i'm glad for every one that gets replaced with something nicer.

I hate Bauhaus. Most dullest stuff ever. It certainly played a very important role in modern architecture and design (especialy in lowering prices) but to me it stands for all the modern stuff that i consider butt ugly.

If you want to go from Munich in direction of Dresden you could choose a route tru the czech republic and spent 1-2 days in Prague. It's one of the best citys in central europe. Really nice, awesome old architecture. Famous for great food and beer. Hollywood often makes movies there nowadays.

Try out some beers is a must in germany. I also recommend that you try out different fast food sausages that you can get on the streets. Each region has its own speciality and they are all very delicious. In Frankfurt you get the "Frankfurter Würstchen", in Nurenberg the "Nürnberger Bratwürstchen" (e-freak recommended them already), in Munich you get "Weisswurst", in Thuringia (the region where Eisenach, Weimar, Erfurt is located you get the "Thüringer Rostbratwurst" and in Berlin you get the "Currywurst". If you only had Hot Dogs in your life this will make a nice diversion. Of course its the best to eat them with one of the local beers as a drink.

I guess for you as american bavaria would be the most interesting considering that most stereotypes foreigners have about germany come from there. So head south to Munich and the alps. You could continue your travel from there to the west in direction of the Bodensee, black forest, Stuttgart. Very nice landscape there and the small mediavel villages etc. that you don't have in america. From Stuttgart you could take a train to Berlin to see something of the other parts of germany. It's only a half day travel. Germany is smaller then california so i see no problem if you start your travel in a different direction.

But in case you want to go on a direct roadtrip from Frankfurt to Berlin i suggest you to make stops in Eisenach (big ass medival castle there), Erfurt (one of the nicest citys in germany with lots of restored medieval buildings), Weimar (cultural capital of germany thanks to Goethe and Schiller). Close to Weimar is the former concentration camp of Buchenwald if your interested in nazi history. Then head to Leipzig. It's also a nice city. And before you go to Berlin visit Potsdam. Another very nice city.

Reminds me of my first train ride to the army (wasn't far away from Coburg). I thought i travel 40 years back and to the middle of nowhere. And the people there not only talk a abit funny they are actualy 40 years or so back (in the small towns and villages that is).

I haven't played it either and tbh the game appears to me incredibly boring and pointless when i watch other people playing it.

I used to be addicted to a mmorpg called Siebenwind (was a kinda fan mod for Ultima Online) for nearly 2 years but this was a whole different story. All the players in that game actualy "played a role", like actors in an interactive fantasy movie. You had to write a 4 pages character story for your char that had to be believable and stick to the background story of the game in order to get accepted as a player. And then you were constantly observed by invisible game masters (moderators) and if you talked off character or behaved out of character you were banned from the game. The rules were pretty tight but that allowed an incredibly deep and fantastic rpg experience, better then a game like wow or any other stock rpg-game could ever provide.

I don't get it.

I have a mixed opinion on nuclear power. On the one hand i think modern plants are pretty safe and environment friendly even compared to renewable energy sources. On the other hand i still think its a bad idea to have them in densly crowded countrys. In US or Russia if something happens its a big catastrophe but not the end of the nation. In a land like germany with 82 million people in a territory smaller as california an accident would be devastating. Not only for the country itself also to its densly crowded neighbours and the world economy.

The german government spent a lot of money on wind energy but that was completely bullshit imo. There is virtualy no place in the whole country where you can't see at least one of these ugly wind reactors. It not only harms a nice view but also the nature to a degree that is not acceptable. Scientists should find better solutions for renewable energy.

I consider myself agnostic btw. I don't know if god exists or not. All i know is that there has never been a single piece of evidence that god is that what is written in the so called "holy" books. But on the other hand is shitload of evidence that proof these books wrong.

If god is a caring, loving shepard like the bible suggests why is there so much brutality, suffering and unfairness in this world? Why has prayer evidently no statistical effect on the destiny of believers compared to non-believers? If he can perform miracles on sick people like believers think why has he never performed one on a amputee? If he is almighty why does he need prophets to teach people "the truth" about him? Wouldn't it be much more effective if he showed everyone personaly the truth? I come to the conclussion that god if he really exists is either unwilling or lacks the ability to change things. Therefore i see no reason to care about him or believe in the nonsense written in old books.

Again you bring up communism. Atheism is not the point of communism its only a side product. And communism itself is as dangerous as religion. It even follows some of the same princibles of religion. In China Jesus, Allah or whoever got replaced by a picture and legends of Mao. In soviet union it was Lenin, Stalin etc.

That's not correct because atheism is in no way related to believe in superstitious thinking which is a necessary point for the definition of a delusion.

Scientology is a sect or a cult. If you look at the history of all religions they started as the same. If scientology started 2000 years ago and would still exist you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this cult and all the other cults that are now considered religions. Our perception of scientology is only different because we actualy life in the time period where it starts to spread out.

It's the right of free speech. Something that doesn't exist in countrys ruled by religious leaders. If you feel offended fine. Religious people always get offended by anything that doesn't fit in their view of the world.
