It's not a super bad idea in theory because you can play on a super large screen inside the Rift, even an virtual IMAX screen if you want so but i don't think the screen resolution and comfort will be quite there yet on the first consumer version.

Just finished the game with all the contracts, treasure hunts, gwent and sidequests that i could find. Took me 144 hours. Awesome ride. Pleased with the end that i got.
Definitely one of the best games that i've played.

Yea i don't really care about the visuals too much. FO3 looked like crap but was a fun game that i sank many hours in. If FO 4 is fun aswell then i'm happy.

Art style looks the same to me except they got rid of the piss filter.

I'm over 100 hours in now and not a single boring minute. Everytime when i think it could get boring soon the game throws something interesting or cool in my direction. It's a better game then Skyrim in so far that the characters and quests are better fleshed out and feel less formulaic. Also the enemies and loot don't level with you. You have to pick your fights to progress so you get a better feeling of accomplishment throughout the game.
What's most remarkable is that very little of the side content feels like filler. It's the antithesis of how say Ubi tackles open world.

The size of this game is just crazy. I'm getting completely lost in sidequests, Gwent and exploration. 74 hours in and only level 16. Tons of question markers left everywhere, open quests and contracts and if i can believe the internet then i'm not even at the half point of the main quest. And the best thing is i still don't feel bored or inclined to rush to finish.

I'm super hooked on that game. Even dream of it during the night. Best RPG i've played since Morrowind and feels quite similar in scope. I'm in agony because i have no time to play today lol.

Could be more compact.
No fan of round avatars.

I play on the second hardest difficulty. Only played Witcher 2 for like 2 hours before that. It's a challenge but so far i've stayed ahead of the difficulty curve by just micro managing my gear and reading up on the monsters. Love how grim the game is. Found a little girl and her brothers whose parents have been killed. Gave them some money for food and the girl gave me her doll in return. Dem feels.
Also wow @ how big the game is. 8 hours in and i've seen only a tiny part of the map, level 4 and already have a contract that recommends level 33.

You can save the game anytime jackophant. New save from menu or F5 for quick save.

Really liking this so far. Don't know if it's the appeal of the open world or the way how you get thrown in this grim story but it clicked with me right away. Something which wasn't the case with the first two games.

Yea nothing to add there.

Quote from Pampers
Meanwhile, polygon is concerned about the lack of ethnic diversity in a game about slavic mythology
The irony is how ethnocentric Polygon themself are by writing such a hogwash. For them only American history, culture and values exist (at least those they deem worthy within their own political mindset) and must be stamped on the whole rest of the world. They are completely oblivious to the fact that even 25 year after the fall of the iron curtain it's still a pretty big deal and not very common at all that a Polish developer can tell a Polish story to an international audience.

Good scores. Looking forward to next week!

FO3 was ugly but was a really good game imo despite oldschool fanboys whining about it.

So yea i think i'm gonna pass. Not feeling this at all. Looks like a big step back from Unity with regards to environment and atmosphere, which is the one thing that got me interested in the first place.

I enjoyed FO 3 more then NV, mostly because 3 had more and better dungeons.

I don't know how the story compares. Was the first AC i played after AC1 and only watched my nephews play the other ones every christmas for a bit. Personaly i cared more for the environments and atmosphere then for the story. The free DLC was quite nice albeit a little short. I would say if you can get it at a discount and have a beefy PC to run it in all its glory then you get enough bang for the buck out of it. It's not a game that i would buy at day 1 full price for gameplay reasons only but its well worth it if you can get something out of studying the art.
