Its not necessarily religious, unless u call evrything intelligent in space god. If there was some intelligent design in our DNA, its not necessarily created by a god. We could be the genetically manipulated children of the Annunaki .

Intelligent design as most want it taught is inherently religious.

Evolution can be taught in science courses, intelligent design can be taught in religion courses. Whats so hard to understand about this? As far as the evidence in the matter is concerned, intelligent design is a religious theory, not a scientific one.

If signs are what it takes to discourage people from taking advantage of a disaster than I fully support "you loot, we shoot." I dont see how you guys can justify stealing. Stealing is stealing whether they're in a disaster zone or not. I would not want people making excuses for me if I was the one choosing to steal.Johnathan good to see you're back online, i'll be back in sav on the 13th if I dont get held up in the new hurrican orphelia or what ever.

Stab in the dark here, but by any chance do you disagree with rape victims getting abortions?

How does losing loved ones warrant stealing materialistic items for one's personal benefit. I dont see any reason to forgive those who steal, they should be treated as criminals as they are, criminals. My shooting anyone who is stealing was mildly sarcastic, but anyone caught should definately be arrested. There is no excuse for it.

While I agree with you to a point, I think its important to understand the context of the situation. These people lost their homes, likely lost loved ones, lost their jobs when they were likely in poverty already. These people went through a Hell on earth, desparate times. Probably not the best time to be judging their overall mental wellbeing.

That should be it right there. Bungie.org, bungie.net, whats the difference

The release seems to be Mac only, it says Windows files were coming soon. Kinda disappointing. Bungie has said you're free to download the game from various places though.

Edit: Check this site out, Marathon 2 seems to be downloadable for Windows.

We elected a woman Prime Minister here in Canada, back in '93 I believe it was, she was out of office by 1994.

As for the South wanting a woman president, I don't think it matters that much. Hilary Clinton has an awesome chance of winning if only because of Bill. Everybody remotely liberal or centrist thought that Clinton was a good president, as such, his wife is likely to get a lot of their votes.

Not to mention President Bush's approval ratings are hovering around 44% last time I heard.I think the likelihood of a woman president is greater than the likelihood of a black president.

Anyway, as far as the Hot Coffee mod is concerned:

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/07/28 ... _gta_suit/

This is just about the biggest crock of shit I've seen yet. There was absolutely no false advertising involved. The game is clearly labelled mature, its clearly labelled by the ESRB for the violence, language, and sexually explicit material that is contained in it. Lets look at the difference between M and AO.

Mature: 17 years of age or older.

Adults Only: 18 years of age or older.

Buying a Mature rated game is fine for your 14-year-old grandson. Buying an AO rated game for your 14-year-old grandson? OMG ALERT THE INTERNET! This situation is just about the most retarded thing I've read about in a while. I don't want to blame this on the right wing, but Conservative values, in this situation, are absolutely out of wack. This includes Hilary Clinton, she's a Conservative-minded politician in this situation.

Know matter what he was doing and know matter how bad you don't run from police on the underground after they have been given "shoot to kill" orders D=#~ i mean you could get shot for stealing a paper.8 times does seem abit much...

I doubt they walked up to him and one by one put bullets in his head. Probably a situation where they all realized they needed to kill this guy and simutaneously shot him. 4-6 cops there maybe, each squeeze off a shot or two in a relatively short space of time, you wind up with the guy being shot 8 times by multiple cops.

7 times in the head and once in the shoulder.

The new version of the story is that he was buying tickets at the ticket counter, when normal-clothed police men confronted him. Apparently he was in Britain on an expired work visa, and as such he took off. He jumped over the ticket barriers and got on a carriage, where he tripped and was shot said amount of times.

what is the hot coffee mod? like what does it do?

It unlocks a hidden minigame within GTA: San Andreas. Whats different about it is although the gamer needs to download a mod from the internet to access it, the core code for the minigame is already in the game at retail. Thats what the whole fuss is about, is the fact that the code is there, although hidden, enough to bump the game up to AO. Apparently it was, because thats exactly what the ESRB did.

As for my personal opinion, well, while leaving the code in the game was a mistake, the users are knowingly modifying their game to unlock this content and know what it entails. I don't see the issue with it, its up to the user, and the user's parents/guardians to decide what can and cannot be done in the household, not Hilary Clinton and surely not that jackass Jack Thompson (reference signature).

Hilary Clinton's involvement is nothing more that solidifying her right-leaning base for the 2008 elections. Mark my words, when and if she is running for the Presidency, she can and will use this situation to attract right wing voters.

Oh, I had heard he walked out of an apartment that was under police watch, was acting suspiciously and as the police confronted him, he ran away, jumped over the ticket barriers and ran for the trains. He then tripped getting on the train and was jumped on and shot by the police. Either way, he should have stopped, but thats kinda beside the point now.

As far as the shoot to kill policy, its a fine line to cross. On one hand, sooner or later you're bound to have incidents were an innocent man is killed. On the other, there are extreme benefits to having such a policy in place if the bomber is actually killed. In any other situation, the police would move in and arrest the person, or shoot to disable that person's ability to run away. But when you have suicide bombers, you suddenly run into that person being able to blow themselves and you up, so shooting to kill is the only way to stop the bomber from detonating.

I don't know... its an extremely slippery slope.

Hey Alf-Life, its Colin from the Gearbox Forums. Long time no see, haven't seen you around that neck of the woods in forever.

I like the site and I like your work, but if I was going to make a change I'd adopt a more formal front page than the watermelon navigation. The watermelon doesn't really do much for the person just browsing by and wanting the information. Sites are all about content, content and more content. The quicker and easier you display the information for people, generally the more page hits you'll get. As for your work, the Farcry map looks pretty good. How much custom material have you added to the HL2DM map? The vanilla style and props can get really boring to look at, adding custom props and the like can add the spark you might be missing (its hard to tell with the screenshots provided). Props for the Halo map, I know just how hard it is to map for that game

As far as the site goes, first thing I'd address is getting information for the projects up, time spent, programs used, maybe even a brief explanation of what goes into making a level for that game for the uninformed. I mean, HaloCE, you have to go from Max to Tool to Sapien to Guerilla and back and forth and in between, setting up various things along various stages. Looking at the map, you'd never know the amount of work that goes into getting a completed level into the game. Perhaps provide overviews for the maps as well?

The terrorist is guilty of conspiracy to murder on top of other things before he attacks. As long as he's been planning it, he's guilty. If he wasn't, they would make up new laws to make him guilty.

As for the Brazilian, I haven't heard why he ran in the first place, which was downright retarded if you ask me.
