how should I be scaling it down?
If that's the final...it should be ok. But if you're going to modify it/add detail to the dam, It will not be fun.
I've done stupid mistakes that ruined totally good maps/got pissed I did that/gave up on map/gave up on mapping/came back to mapping after a week and tried again. It's agrivating especially when it comes to mapping structures and leaks.
-
...scaling it down like that is just ASKING for problems.
I agree alot with RD...And I feel it is way to green. I'm probably biased because I saw a dam map in cs1.6 that was spectacular...hope you can live up to that 1.

Wow...I'm an idiot.
I misread the topic. Disregaurd my last post.

I want a mad max style road war kind of mod...That would be awsome.
The gameplay would give a team "garagetime" to build the war vehicles...If a new player joined...they could have thier own time to build it.
And there would be an open map to fight on.
Some objectives could include: Destroy enemy garage...or capture the hostie.
Whaddya think?

Nice...Not my style...but nice.

..FIll me in.
I'm not an old school gamer.

Ok...This is lame... when I ask for a model...IT'S INCLUDING TEXTURES.
...and no I wont include an extra $100 to skin it.
If there is anybody out there that can...please pm me.

I didn't mean to sound like an ass...
Forum admin...can you close this post please? I found a modeler.

I don't know of any badger model...and I want it done a specific way...and I work for a living and have the money. One hundred ain't bad for a custom one-off. I wanted it to be worth the while/effort of making a quality one.
Amazing how that seems like alot to you folks. :-?
I also don't model and don't have time at the moment to learn it...
-
yes...I'm serious.
Pm me jeremy.

I need a specific model for a map I'm working on. It will be a 128 unit tall
bronze statue of a badger holding a colt. I know this seems like a funny request...but it is a clan based map and the mascot is a badger.
I was thinking of running a contest or something but I didn't want to waste anybody's time...So I'm offering $100 dollars to whoever I select to do the model.
This is a model for the HL1 engine and I will notify the modeler I select exactly what I require...
Please reply to me with a link or pictures of models you have done.

OMG!...deadlode hit it on the spot.

gj nz-nexus...really made your point there.

Just some things I noticed in your map..
1: using those scaffolding "x" bars as rails doesn't really look good as a railing
2: Pictures 1 and 2 could use a sidewalk ...even if the texture provides one...make a brush to raise it up and make it noticeable.
3: In picture 3 the grass growing up the building looks kinda wierd from that angle
4: In picture 3 the ductwork runs into a wooden some-thing or other...make the wooden (heater?) look like something more feasable.
5: The wooden posts with the mesh attached to it look too thick.
6: I'm not much to say it here...but I know somebody's going to point it out...add something to the corners of the buildings..like trim or something.
(seeing how I have the same habbit of making stuff blocky  )
It looks good so far....maybe some light posts / light tricks could really set this map off.
I wanna see this done...I hope I helped a little.
