But I agree with Jynx, I wouldn't touch those ladies with a forty foot pole (aka. my penis), but they are nice to watch tho, just like Anna Nicole Smith before she gained an elefant and a half, she isn't smart enough to offer me anything more than passionate butt sex.

Besides, nerds number one wet dream remains the "Leia from Jabba's Palace"

Firefox is of course not perfect, I actually hate the in-process deal... if you crash one window you lose them all :/

It's sad but true, when the fox takes a dive, it's taking all the tabs with him. But atleast it's better than the IE crash where it takes explorer.exe with him, so I'd still lose my tabs than have to restart the explorer.exe. Besides, there is some option to retain the tabs when the fox is closed, why not use that?

    Internet Explorer dipshit..

It's as if you force yourselves to reply or something. Jeez I thought you'd be happy you brought another on board the Firefox crew.. or something to that effect.

It's not that me and my webdesign buddies don't appreciate, it's more like in the lines of "fight against capitalism", we are happy for every convert for standard and secure. But IE grabs mighty 80% or something of the browser market, and with inferior product, it's like everyone driving Ladas instead of Saab.

And as I said in my above post, it's not a whole department working on it, it's one guy doing r&d and probably programming up a few ideas.

I think that is pretty close to truth. I'm pretty sure that the whole UE3 was built while considering the next generation, that is afterall Epics primary income. And if what Carmac said "many current engines have bits of Quake1 engine still in them" is true, UE4 has been developed since UE2 or something.

This all might just be some sort of publicity stunt.

Year 1992, Flight 163 was hijacked by some mean terrorists, but the savior comes in the form of a passenger on the seat 57, WESLEY FUCKING SNIPES! Whoo! He karatekicks everyone and does 'it' with the ladies and safely lands the plane to L.A. and goes on to become "Blade", the meanest half-vampire vampire hunter EVER!

It is only logical, stupid, but logical. I'm wondering how they are going to bypass the natural circle of engine development, like Q3 engine, the developers that licenced it, tweaked it to hell, so are they just announcing it way ahead? Or are they confident that they are going to get developers to licence a new engine when they could just tweak the "old" engine to support the new shader and lighting models and whatnot.

"Unreal Engine 4 will be totally groundbreaking and the way games will be done in the future,"

Ah how I love these kinds of comments, they seem to be there with everything this industry does, "I'm making a new pot of coffee, it is going to totally revolutionise how you drink coffee" or "I just wrote a new name generator for this game, it is so groundbreaking that you have to use seatbelts to play the game" and bull like that

So no one finds it suspicious that MS filet the patent two months before Apple. I'm not saying who sold who what and who did industrial espionage over what in where, but I just don't get it who Apple was so "careless" not to check if the patent for one of their product is not colliding with THEIR BIGGEST RIVAL. And we all know Apple, they are like a 600 pound gorilla when it comes to patents.

Um, seriously if you watch the trailer you know you get changed into a part Strogg thing later on, I am not revealing anything you shouldn't already know!

Or anything you wouldn't learn from the trailer. Revealing "spoilers" from a trailer is not actually considered a spoiler by any stretch of an imagination

lol call me retarded, but what is the boiling frog legend?

I won't call you a retard, many don't hear this legend much because some people don't believe it and they shouldn't.

It's a fad, often used by those environmentalist pussies to give and example of slow degradation of environment, how we don't see it because it is so slow, but we would be alarmed if this all happened in mere years and not in the span of hundred years or something whiney like that.

The myth goes that if you put frog in to a boiling water, it will instantly escape (giving that it can), and then put a frog in to a cold water and slowly heat it up and it will just boil to death. For long, it was considered a fact, hell, even my chemistry teacher taught us this as a rock solid fact, and our biology teacher laughed when we told him this legend. But I suppose that it's like Math teacher teaching us how to weld or something.

That made me laugh alot

but the frog is cold blooded, so it wouldnt notice it as fast due to lack of homeostasis, nigga

Yes, it might notice it way slower than human, but it infact won't just simmer there. Nigga. So the 'boiling frog' legend doesn't work in this case.

It's like boiling frogs....You'd never notice.

Cute but the boiling frog myth is just a myth, you can actually try this out, go to kitchen and place your hand on a stove and put the heat on, just a low heat, so you don't burn your hand instantly, you start to feel very uncomfortable far from heat that can burn something or inflict damage through two layers of clothes.

sad to see the same old weapons except new weaponmodels

I wouldn't say that it is a bad thing, I don't think anyone can come up with a great set of completely new weapons to a game like this and still do it as good as the original q3 had. The new weapons would be same shit on slightly different package like UT2k4 weapons.

The games performance was pretty bad, and the animations suck, but it is far from complete so I'll let it slide.

To the gameplay, my best guess is that because Doom3 was dark, someone had to do a mod to put in the flashlight on the weapons (what kind of future is that? even many modern weapons have flashlights), so I'm pretty confident that someone makes a mod to add in a FUCKING CROSSHAIR.

The player movement speed is discustingly slow compared to the real deal, I know, I tested since I still have quake 2 installed on my comp because I play Gloom. Trying to kill the enemies with the wapons is like licking them to death, very effective, if you want to get yourself killed. The weapons being as powerful as a gardenhose added with the slow moving speed and no crosshair just makes the game impossible to play and hard as fuck.

Just remind me, why these retards even made the game? They could just aswell come to my house when I slept and give me nasty papercuts, and that would have been about half as painful as playing this piece of steaming shit.

Only thing worth mentioning is, the gun models are actually pretty sweet. But the levels are blocky as hell, even the original game had less flat surface.

Well you COULD just get something like Wintasks and manage everything you run on your computer, without the hustle of testing and probing and poking blind. I believe there are some very good free software similar to Wintasks but I love that tool so much that I bought it, it's worth every penny.
