  • The Grammar Orgy

I actually wrote, misspelt, and then posty went on a rampage on color/colour style.

But this just proves my point, if people didn't bitch about typos this thread would be still interesting and worth replying to, but because this turned in to a grammar orgy, it just destroys the whole thread and the moderator system.

Mod abusing his powers in this way is worse than not having a mod at all.

They outlawed racism and there are not hundreds of millions of people in prisons. So what is your point?

Without protestors democracy will not work, there has to be questioning regarding decisions made by those in charge.

Voicing out your opinion is the healthiest thing to do.

And if it isn't, maybe we could get a lynching mob going, I hate the man so much.

I read an article about Wiccas before I started this thread and even tho I basically know nothing about them (propably the reason I read the article) I feel sympathy for them when they got to the part where they have been openly hated and their lifes have been threatened just because they don't belong to any of the larger religions.

Usually when something is creating this much trouble, violence and opression, it is outlawed, but how come religion isn't, I firmly stand by what I said that religion is the biggest human rights violatio in the history of man, it's a straight out categorizing and in it's name has some serious crimes done. It's like a world wide caste system, people are divided in to some groups and treated accordingly to your own whim just because somehow they apparently aren't like you.

Every time I hear anything about religion I'm almost going to vomit, and I just cant understand how people can support some monstrocity like it.

You can't single people out by their "race" it was outlawed long ago, so why can you single them out by religion? That is absurd, no intelligent person would accept religion in to modern society, and especially not in it's current state where it has strong influence on major decisions like politics.

I'm so loud that bet that many of you already know my view on religions. But once it's not about me dammit, I'm here to hear defferent views.

So how do you view religions in general, and how do you feel about the religious fanatics, how about beliefs, ideologies and philosohpies that some consider religions.

Voice your opinion, it increases the knowledge juice in my brain.

What are you basing that claim on, Kosmo?

It's hard to see the overall Xbox and Xbox games revenue but Microsofts game division grabs the cash, their yearly revenue is around 2 billion dollars where as Xbox has made maximum of 1.1 billion dollars losses.

I know, it's more than half the revenue gone to losses but they still make profit out of this. Through game sales.

And common sense says that, not even Microsoft is a company that would make a second Xbox if it didn't make them any money in the long run. I think investors would have kicked MS pretty fast if it did that.

He bought the Source so it guarantees some passionate buttsex with Gabe, but other than that I don't think that Valve and Junction Point have any kind of relations. I guess the man love is enough to prove Gabe to let Warren release what he is tinkering.

Nice. I was starting to see PS3 as a venerable competition for Xenon. But if the specs are correct, if PS3 costs more than 400 dollars and ships without HDD nor any games, it's just no match for Xenon in price point of view.

And Thrik, you would think that MS screwed up by selling Xboxes at a loss, but they covered their losses ten fold with game sales so it's hardly a "shot in the financial gob" as you put it.

We already established this in the Red Orchestra thread, but yeah, it's exciting. I just hope that it's going to be a Thief kind of gameand not a Deus Ex kind of game.

One would think that with the money Valve got from the HL2 launch and DoD launch, and the deal Valve has made with developers to publish their crappy games through the crappy steam they would buy a huge data center to provide the games mods and such, but instead they bought solid gold bars with their money, shoved them all up to Gabe's ass and run Steam through old 286 pc with monochrome screen and once in a while someone decides to play Alleycat with it and crashes the steam.

Valve has great ideas but don't know how to make them work.

Yeah I just read about some other company today who are going to distribute their game via Steam (can't remember who but it was a moderately big name)

Pirates of the Burning Sea? It's not that big name, but it is a MMOG.

:edit: Forgot about Warren Spectors new game, but it's a Source game that is distributed through Steam so it's a no brainer.

Console buyers also pay less FOR less. Usually console gamers can't get their head around the fact that their machine even if it is cheap in their mind, they are actually paying less for less funtions.

PC gamers are usually those who cater for certain gaming style, like me, FPS, RTS and MMORPGs are my game, something no console does better than a PC, also, expansions, mods, maps, skins, mutators, the list goes on.

And finally, you pay less for the console to pay more for the games. You can grab a 1 month old game for 45€ a new one for 49€ 3month or older usually go both ways of 20€. Xenon games go for 65€ and it is not unusual to find a store that steals you 70€ for a brand new hype game like Quake 4, after 1 month you can grab that game for 60€ 3 months or older are still around 50-40€ hell even now stores are selling mercenaries for 60€ and it's Xbox game.

I'm a cheap bastard, the 20€ difference is killing me, I cry hysterically in the store if I can't get game for 20€, the last game I bought brand spnaking new was Command & Conquer: Tiberium Sun. I don't count WoW because it wasn't full price, it was MORE, collectors edition baby, but I was not buying a game, I was buying my new life.

But I'm having a feeling that Nintendo might try to lower the Revolution game prices in order to compete with the Xenon and PS3 better, it did that for DS when PSP came, so I don't see a areason why not. It would be a dream come true.

Sorry for a post with no meaning, I woke up around 30minutes ago.

I see your point and i agree. But why attack America in the first place? thats what i never understood about terrorist attacks. Terrorist attacks happen all over the world, its just not the US. I never understood these countries that dont let there women have any say what so ever, and that just plain hate America and other countries. Why attack two buildings killing thousands of innocent people? Why send a bomber in a hotel to blow himself up killing dozen's of innocent people?

It's a feeling we all share, I would say that only 1% of terrorist attacks is reasoned in any way, and even then, very little logic has been used.

I would think that human history is going to be a very short one at this rate, only way to survive is to understand how everyone is just the same. The man behind the power is just the same as Fletch, the poor man in the gutter is just like Kosmo, the man driving the porche is same as Mino, the guy fighting the war is just like Peris and he is fighting the war against a dude who is just like Klein to overthow a dictator that is just like Frie.

We need to get rid of things that try to tell us why we are different, why some people go to the supposed heaven when they die, or why someone is a western devil. Other is a sandmonkey or what the hell.

No countries, one union and most of all, no religion mixed with politics.

But yeah, we are humans, I bet we'd fuck that system up too. So I'm off to Tibet, trying to find enlightment before crazy people blow the planet sky high.
