That does seem a bit lame if true. I expected most planets to be lifeless and maybe only worth mining a bit of ore or something. And on the rare occasion you come across one with life it would be all that more special to find animals or plants. I also expected some planets might have had different levels of life, some with mostly ocean life and very little on land, others with lots of smaller life forms that seem like they are early in evolution and of course planets with much more developed life and huge animals. If there is life on every planet then every planet is just more of the same.

I've avoided all the youtube and live streams though so hopefully the universe is more barren and not a grindfest. But wouldn't surprise me if it is since I don't think I have played a single good game that has procedural generation. They all seem to focus on the crafting and repetitious activities to mask over the bland gameplay.

Only really saw anything about this game a few months ago, seems I must have been hiding under a rock or something because i was surprised at how famous the game is supposed to be.

But to me just the relaxing, casual exploration seems enjoyable for me. The multiplayer aspect they talk about just seems like they backtracked on the idea of multiplayer, but need to add something to appease those that will hold them to the promise. As they say themselves, considering there is so many billions of planets, the chances of players even being close to each other is close to zero. So I don't even see the point of the lobby system that @Puddy mentioned they have added.

Personally I'm just looking forward to the relaxing atmosphere of exploring the planets and seeing all the animals that are named after penises by other players. But the procedural generation makes me worried that every location will look nice on a grand scale, but have no soul. And once you have named a planet "Planet McPlanetface" there is no reason to stick around or care. If the reviews are decent, i'll probably pick it up shortly after launch.

My only concern is that in a 1v1 situation, it is nearly impossible for the T-s to cover all entrances to the rescue zone. In most Hostage maps if you get to a 1v1 as a T, you still have a chance to win by defending the rescue area.

It is done on purpose. If you can easily hold the hostage zone, then defending the hostages is not really a priority for the Ts but instead locking down the rescue zone. With concert, if you allow the hostage to be picked up, you are now at a huge disadvantage and have to try and track the hostage instead of camping the zone. Makes the map more balanced overall and discourages rushing the zone like in most other hostage maps

New build should arrive soon and should have all of the boost spots/out of map areas fixed.

Also tried to address some of the things you mentioned @MrTwoVideoCards especially in regards to the lack of the medium/smaller details.

@KODIAK I watched the whole video, looked like an interesting match you guys had. Would like to ask if you and your friends had any thoughts on the legit boosting areas? Specifically looking over the seating wall to the stage as CT and the small boost in the dressing room as T.

And thanks for the kind words everyone, still working hard on this to get it as solid as possible

New Vegas DLC was absolutely amazing. All loosely followed a main story, which could have been a main story line in its self and it also tied into some events that caused the main story line to begin with. Also very well presented since you hear about some of the characters and locations involved in the base game even prior to any DLC releasing.

Although tbh apart from Far harbour, this DLC has been fucking awful

Wouldn't even say Far Harbour was very good. All the new enemies were massive bullet sponge reskins of existing enemies and the island its self was a pretty drab and boring place to explore. Storyline was decent, but no where near as good as some people make it out to be.

1 hour ago, Beck said: I'm not fussed about the workshop DLC's at all. I get some people enjoy the building side of things but I just want to play Fallout and blow some peoples limbs off and explore. I'm glad they've released more DLC so there are 6 DLC's with 3 story DLC's and 3 workshop. I think that's fair for those who bought the season pass.

I haven't tried Far Harbour yet. I've heard great things about it but I'm gonna wait until I move in the next week or so and play it on a 4K TV I'm gonna buy.

There is only 2 story based DLC's. The other two are workshop DLC's but with a mission or two to present it.

Just something that seems somewhat common. Most maps tend to have a rush site and a more tactical site. And since corridors are good for hiding a teams advance, the rush site is generally more of an interior or enclosed site. On many maps it also happens to be the B site.

Vote manipulation has been going on for a while now unfortunately, some of my maps were hit by it as well but lucky only small scale to knock me off the top spot. If you released at the same time as certain skin authors or other maps even, you could expect quite a few downs by them. But with these gambling sites now using the workshop as a means to spam their ads, you can expect a downvote from each of their bots which can result in downvotes in the hundreds.

Doubt valve will do anything to address the issue as its pretty clear they don't hold the voting system in high regard. The workshop has been a mess for a long time now.

Had a run around the map today. Very well done.

Clipping could do with another pass, its quite easy to get caught on a lot of the smaller details

Also, some areas for me feel far too colourful and saturated and don't seem to follow a consistent style. You have the quite pale sandstone and then some really in your face reds, blues and greens. Specifically in the room with all the different colour pipes, as well as these seat things. Some of the items in the gift shop are also quite bright and seem to go against the rest of the map.

    Spoiler

The stairs you have in the stone block interiors could also do with being reworked. They look quite weak compared to the rest of the map with terrible texture alignment.

Since this whole vote is obviously about immigration, wouldn't it be easier to just create stricter immigration laws in the UK? Why do something so stupid like detaching your country from the umbilical cord for many industries?

Wouldn't say the whole vote is about immigration, just that it was a key issue.

During the Tories' 2010 campaign, one of Cameron's campaign pledges was to cut net migration to 100,000 a year by the end of his term. Which at the time was about half of the current net migration in the UK. A goal that because more obviously unachievable as the years passed and immigration numbers kept rising. It became clear that being part of the EU with its free movement, the government wouldn't be able to impose limits to migration. This of course highlighted to the more euro septic MP's that the UK has no control over its borders.

So during the Tories' 2015 Campaign Cameron instead of fighting against numbers he said he would campaign for benefit reforms where people coming from the EU would have to work for 4 years before being qualified for certain benefits, some of which being free social housing and child tax credits, in the hope that net migration would fall. The EU outright rejected the idea just before the referendum.

As a result it made Cameron look weak and powerless to make any decision on the subject, and fuelled the fire the anti EU supporters were burning.

So its not as if this was some sudden decision. It has been an issue ever since Tony Blair was in power and part of the reason Labour lost the election was immigration. Its been a very hot topic for over 15 years and although change was attempted, it was rejected by the EU. Now like it or not, we live in a much more uncertain time.

I would like to also point out that no one really gave the leave campaign a chance to win when the Tories made the referendum part of the campaign pledges. But a whole bunch of terrible circumstances and events seemed to suddenly appear that really galvanised the leave campaign and gave them so much ammo to fight with. One of the big ones being Cameron being given the shaft by Merkel. The EU is in no way blameless in this situation and could have stopped it had they wished.

Scotland was already looking at another referendum anyway, but Brexit has pushed it much higher on the agenda as many of the promises made by Cameron were on the condition that the UK stays in the EU. Scotland had a pretty good deal being in the EU (and the polls show the support). But not being attached to the rest of the UK I very much doubt a country with a 5 million population who have a GDP somewhere around the same as Portugal are in any position to make such similar demands to the EU.

Also, I never can tell if tweets like @(HP) posted are just tongue in cheek comments or if they are serious. Immigration is a lot more than "dey stealin r jobs" and so much more to do with the UK not having the infrastructure to support such a rapid increase in population. The UK has some of the largest class sizes in the world and certainly the largest in the EU. There are a complete lack of any sort of affordable housing in the major cities and of course the strain on the NHS because for some reason (language barrier usually) immigrants will go to the emergency room instead of a local doctor to be treated. Then of course having to abide by the EU's quotas mean that many of the immigrants that the UK traditionally got from Commonwealth nations where there are many good English schools have to be rejected to keep numbers down.

But of course we could just reject any rational discussion for why people might not like the current immigration policy and keep to the popular narrative of "damn kebabs stealing our jobs"

Merkel or Juncker don't give a shit about human rights or those refugees. They want two things: 1) a divided and thereby easily controllable and manipulable population 2) cheap labour.

This, sadly, is one of the more unfortunate things about the whole campaign. Immigration was the key issue, especially with the recent so called immigration crisis. But it was hardly ever talked about because both sides of the argument had to avoid the topic as the moment immigration is mentioned, the left just shout "racists" or "bigots" repeatedly to drown out any discussion. So no true discussion on the topic was had and most people were left with information they read in outside sources (often either fear mongering or unrealistic idealism) or what they might see locally.

My comment about the arrogance was directed towards Angela Merkel and the rest who were against throwing Cameron a bone so he could go back and say "I have negotiated a good deal for the UK" even if in the end it resulted in nothing. They wanted to make a show of power by playing hard ball.

And I am of the opposite view, in that it was the EU that bluffed and the UK called it. They tried to make a show of Cameron by rejecting anything he was fighting for on the assumption that the UK wouldn't leave. The UK people voted and now both the Pound and Euro has significantly dropped, calls for a referendum in many other EU nations and thoughts of a possible weak EU are driving people to doubt the whole thing.

The movie is Children of Men if i am not mistaken. Excellent movie.

And the EU couldn't be nice to a country threatening to leave? When that country is the EU's second largest economy and an island nation that's always been quite euro sceptic it might be time to play nice and not push the swing voters over to the leave side. Now because of such arrogance the UK people voted to leave and we will all pay the price for it. Short term at least it will not be good for anyone and I wonder what will come of the other larger EU nations' calls for a referendum.

Long term though I can see it being good for the UK, but disastrous for the EU since now they only have two economically strong nations and so many weak ones that need to be supported.

28 minutes ago, Sprony said: their only option is to treat it as a mutiny and really come down hard on the UK. If they don't, others might follow. So it's better to set an example.

I think that's the attitude that ended up giving the leave campaign as much support as it had. Cameron was trying to negotiate a new deal for the UK but it was clear right from the start that he could get nothing out of all the negotiations. Couldn't even get enough of a deal that he could spin into a good thing. Made a lot of people realise that the EU does not have any consideration for the nations as individuals.

Now because of this elitist attitude, there are calls for referendums in many other EU nations and it looks set that Scotland will leave the United Kingdom. Scotland wants to be part of the EU, but will there even be an EU left by the time it all comes to fruition?

Troubling times ahead indeed but I think the vote highlights more than anything the huge divide within the United Kingdom right now when London votes remain but most of mainland England voted leave as well as all of Scotland voting remain.
