    Very impressive game engine!

I guess Source is the weakest of all these engines, but HL2 is the probably the best looking game so far...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to Metronome

Wow, I love this style! It reminds me a bit of American McGee's Alice.

But I wonder if such a game can be successful, because for the ordinary mean gamer such settings are simply too odd.

  • Somebody record this.

Very nice, but it's not the first HL2 video with HDR. Remember that techdemo video on the roof with that big, shiny antlion? There was already HDR implemented.

  • I can play games again.

I agree. The silencer is the best cooler ever (besides water cooling)

My Geforce 6800gt used to be at 90°C when loaded. With the silencer it is at 35°C idle and 45°C loaded. That's quite a difference!

Not very useful for direct texture use, but it's definitely very inspiring!

http://%7boption%7d is a good source for 3d design. Do you want to make high or low polygon models?

Really beautiful map, but I'm getting tired of these leafless trees.

Oh cool I enjoyed Todesangst very much, so I'm looking forward to Todesangst - Source.

Maybe you should correct the title "der echte Feind". German titels, even after a colon, always begin with a capital letter. Maybe "Der wahre Feind" would be a better translation, because it just sounds better

But hey, it's cool you try to learn German. I know it's very difficult for English speaking people... The other way round isn't too easy as well *sigh*

    Looks very nice!

I wonder why Valve did't use more normal maps in HL2. Ok, too much normal maps look like plastic, anyway I like 'em!

    Anyway the map looks nice.

But there's something wrong with the lighting. Were does that huge dark shadow behind the red barn comes from? Those silos are too small for such a big shadow. Maybe you should readjust the angle of the global light.

    OMG look at teh Godzilla-grass!

Did you use the grass for the 3d-skybox, or why are those sprites that huge?

added an invisible wall to stop players escaping the map

Invisible walls suck. Better make a barricade out of wrecked cars or something like that.

    Quote from Zyndrome

The RPG took me a while to find, heh, but why the second crossbow in such a hard-to-get-to place (jump from roof to train, to train to barracks-roof)?

You're still thinking in an old fashioned way. Just use the physics and shoot the crossbow off the roof

Especially the warp core (I don't know any other term for this...) is very well done.

I'd like to map the church from Ravenholm because when I played HL2 i felt a bit disappointed not being able to enter the church.

It's probably a good location for deathmatch and the interior with all the paintings would look great (a few custom textures are needed indeed).

Anyway I have to pass the Matura (school leaving examination) so there's no time for mapping
