I didn't have fast internet back then when that e3 demo came out. I had to get my friend to download it and send it to me on a CD. All 500mb of it. Good times

Hi for me was Doom 4. It wasn't the train wreck I feared it would be, even if the MP was instantly forgettable the SP was great and now criminally unsupported with no additional content.

The Quake 2 part was pretty neat. I wonder if even half of the audience was old enough to know what it was from.

Deus Ex came out 16 years ago. Half-Life came out 18 years ago this month. Thief came out 18 years ago today. System Shock 2 came out 17 years ago.

A lot of us used to be 16+ on here talking shit and mapping for everything Half-Life/Quake and now we are all 28/29+ with industry jobs or something. I'm off to feel very old and upset at where all this time has gone.
