Wow if only the game had been as good as it's art it would have been amazing.

Just some answers to some of the major questions from our Marketing community dude.Auto Health

Yes, Deus Ex 3 will use auto-health regeneration. This is a departure from the original but the industry as a whole has grown up and changed quite a bit in the last eight years and the designers didn’t want people exploring levels just for health packs or having to reload to an old save game because they messed up a scenario and couldn’t advance. I know some people actually liked the exact scenario I just described but this is a decision the team made.

This REALLY should be an aug/implant/whatever it's going to be. The industry has not grown up, while it has changed - that change has swerved onto serving the more casual gamer as consoles are now the mainstream and primary focus of a lot of developers. That idea right there for health regen is designed for the causal / console gamer. Having health regen is going to be a real no brainer. If you're hurt all you're going to have to do is sit in a corner and suck on your thumb for a while until you're at full hit points. In deus ex 1 you'd actually have to think about how you're going to approach a given combat situation if you're low on the old hit points. But oh no, health regen has just thrown that out of the window. I would shit my pants in deus ex 1 when I had low hit points and had to take down several enemies. It made me think about other alternatives to the situation as there was always more than one. But from the sounds of it all I'm going have to worry about is if I can find a corner to sit in. I'm still looking forward to what can be done with the game, but it's little design choices like this that start to make me lose confidence.

Ho ho ho, I'm gonna get raped.

Deus Next: The next installment in the long series of "damned if you do, damned if you don't" video games where nothing should be different but everything that is exactly identical also sucks.Fan boys may be the bread and butter of this industry, but there are times when not listening to them at all should really be your first priority.

I can't even describe how irritated I feel when someone says something like that.

    Some snippets:

    It's a prequel set in 2027

You play Adam Jensen, a security officer working for a biotechnology firm.

Part of the game is set in Shanghai

The game uses a Renaissance style art blended with cyberpunk (looks great)

    There'll be around 20 augmentations

The game is first person but will switch perspective for stealth

Hacking involves a mini game (a la system shock, bioshock)

There is hand to hand combat

You can punch through Walls to grab enemies by the neck

You van bungee jump off ledges

The developers are trying to be loyal to the first game

Skill points return and are expanded

    Universal ammo has been ditched

    Multiple endings

    Display More

    So much for seeing JC.

SIGH. I'm getting really pissed with developers lately.

I didn't know JC Denton was Mel Gibson in Invisible War. Wow, they so raped the game with that sequel.

Whats the deal with people still sodding dying for no reason, it's so annoying! I save a stalker in the cordon, after wolf asked me to. I save him. Bring him back to base, go off to do another task, come back, and the stalker I saved is dead on his back with everyone standing around as if nothings happened. Ugh.

I recommend using float32 for clear sky: http://www.thefloatingpoint.org/main/news.php

All it does is crash the game for me. Had to re-install it. Naice.

Some of my early adventures. Anti Aliasing is on full but it still looks really rough and jaggy

I'm playing in 1680 res but resized them to 1280 for file size.

I was looking for items in a city, but didn't found anything, so i started to look at texture bugs, collision problems, holes in the geometry of the environment and stuff like that . Once the communication guy saw it, he told me : "Alright you played enough, there's some people waiting to try"

    Nice one Koko

Yahtzee is a wonderful entertainer, but he's a pretty terrible reviewer.

He's not going to like this anyway, he's already made a reference to not liking the current development team.

That was my general sarcasm. I just like to see him rip the piss. But at the same time he brings up completely valid points that I agree with on all the games I've played that he's mocked.
