So I just played old cs 1.6 and went 40 - 6
Loaded up CS:GO and went 16 - 12. I just can't get a hold of how it feels, uccch. Everything in 1.6 is just so much smoother and more responsive. Depressing.

Yeah, I come across as someone who is hard to impress, and? I have played every version of CS since beta 1 so of course I'm going to expect the redesign to be something that impresses me. And while I don't need to list out games that I "manage to play" I can safely say when it comes to old classics like this, I expect it to be up to par.

Just played a PCW and the flaws in this really showed through. Sounds are all messed up, nothing is where it sounds like it is coming from. The gun sounds don't have any real distinction, you could tell and ak from an m4 in 1.6 easily. The bullet reg is just fucking.... dire. I never thought it could be any worse than cs: source, but it is by leagues. The buy menu I've already mentioned is awful. The player movement feels off and the way the weapons handle as well. As for the maps, too much shit in the things I can't see what I'm shooting at so it's very hard to mark someone out even with all settings on low it's still a cluster fuck. And where's my silencer for the m4? my arctic avengers skin? 1337 krew?
Really disappointing. 1.6, 10 or so years on and still nothing that comes after can touch it.

Yeah I gave it a go for about 2 hours the other day. First thing that happened to me was half my screen getting filled up with auto help, ugh. Alos, is there a way to disable to spiral menu and have it just a menu like 1.6? I really dislike it. As for the movement and stuff, I need to give it some more play time.

It is luck really and knowing the right people. I got mine with real blind luck, gooseman asked me to do some stuff for tactical intervention but it hit a snag at the time and instead referred me to unknown worlds for ns2.
