One place you absolutely have to 100% go to see is St. Paul's. The fucking ceiling in that place is IMMENSE. Also just because it's hella damn good fun, go to the London Dungeon as well. You won't regret going in there, the actors are great.

I managed to spend 2k in 2 days in London. It is that expensive. What? I wanted to DO STUFF there in NICE PLACES. And that's the price you gotta pay!

Bleh I dunno what to do. The house I looked at is completely redone to a huge standard, everything is brand new and spotless. In a decent spot in town, just on the outskirts but not far from anything, all walking distance and doesn't need anything doing to it apart from some additional internet sockets installed. I could see myself there easily enough. But like Thrik said, just imagine you won't have a job in 2 years and work around that... which is not a great thought. The flat I'm in now is one of the best you can get here, but there's a huge building site next to me making a shit tone of noise, which will eventually house a load of homeless apparently. So that'll be fun. Plus my landlord has put the whole building my flat is in up for sale because of it so dunno what'll happen with a new owner. The other flats I looked at in town are nothing compared to this, absolute piss holes in comparison.

I guess I'll just stay here and try not to get stabbed.

These are like the two most polar opposite things in existence. But... I'm 26 and I wan't to invest in buying a home here (and start doing a degree), the UK government is helping first time buyers and right now in my area it is a good time to buy, plus my credit rating is the best it is ever going to be. Most of you know where I live, in a remote seaside town in Wales, hardly gaming capital central but I've had steady work for many years now and I'm tired of renting and happy with what I'm doing in life.

Obviously my job could end (Unknown Worlds, etc), and there are solutions to that like renting the house out and getting a different job with a studio in the UK amongst other things, that's just one. I love where I live, I have lots of family and friends here and obviously that clashes with my job and why I've stayed put and not gone to a studio (I also suffer from very bad anxiety attacks from a messy childhood so that's never helped much), but it is always an option if I really have to.

I've resisted this idea for a long time, but I am just pissing money into the wind with renting a flat.

So, is this the dumbest idea in the universe? (dux stop being a douche and go to a studio, etc, etc? Work really hard for 6 months and get laid off, woo!)

Growing up is hard. It was a lot easier when we were all 16 on here posting hl1 maps.
