hmm stil sounds weird, you might have acces to the kunfo and darwinia demo's and the HL1 back catalog but it would rather sound like some kind of bug if you have acces to non Valve games, let alone other developers games that were not realsed yet when you bought it?

what are you talking about, i'm pretty sure they broke the sdk just last week
LOL

Anyway still waiting on the sdk update what adds hdr to mods (last update only added hdr support in the tools) and waiting for the cheography tool working for non english OS.
There is something about beta source on the sdk page adding all the new engine features to mods but I'm not a techie and it doesn't look like a sdk update but tomorrow I'm gonna take a closer look maybe there is a new beta sdk?

Best expansions?
Op4
TACC

Dunno, I find 20$ alot even if its the best fps expirience to date since it only lasts 4 hours.
That and I'm a bit concerned for my wallet after a few dozen episodes for as many different games.
SO I hope to see a bundle someday

Yes I'm a fucking cheap bastard turning every euro twice but thats why I have a fat bank account I guess but I have other plans then spending all on games

Isn't there also some sort of "Base Commander" for people who suck at RTS economies and resource gathering?
Yeah you can have youre base commander build templates.
Not sure how thats gonna work out, maybe its just a list of buildings he has to build in a order or maybe you can save actual layouts to be used as templates.
The (base)commander also automatily rebuilds destroyed buildings.

Wel a NDA is really not a bad thing if youre a bit future minded and are looking for a publisher for example.
I doubt a NDA signed online or trough email holds much water but I have been in a mod what asked a signed papers trough snailmail.
The standaard mod NDA seems to be
I don't leak mod stuff, my property stays my own and I get proper credits for it, I can't deny the mod the content I made
I see no harm in it, ofcourse it should not be nessesary but jerks come in all kinds of disquises

Hey, just to play games or read forums we have to agree to some rules so why can't a mod have rules.
Even tough I doubt its that usefull and if 'bad' people would really care what they signed.
But if the mod I'm with wants me to sign something I have no problems with that as long as it matches with my own ethical laws.
On the other side I have been able te test beta's of games without having to sign anything

Hmmm I might buy this for the singleplay story since I got 1 & 2,
but for the gameplay I bet my money on Supreme Commander.
-
Valve says is gonna be their best singleplay expirience to date.
Somehow I doubt thats gonna be the case and to be on the save (or is it safe) side I am just gonna wait for reviews or a bundle of the episodes later on.

Where is the CEO option?

Sounds like some unique gameplay but like everything else I rather wait for reviews and possebly demo

*edit* is not a mod but a standalone game that started as a mod

Valve, because I enjoy hammer that much
Crytek, because they really impressed me with Farcry and I know sandbox (probebly forgot most of it by now again tho
)Mythic entertainment, because I like them even tough I'm not qualified since my 2d skills suck

-
Word is Valve aproached him, and he's getting the source sourcecode in return.
Anyway its 'hear say'.
-
I haven't checked the mod out (even tough I have one of the latest versions installed) it just doesn't seem to apeal that much to me.
If there are people what think its worth the few 10$ sure why not.
But perhaps Steam was better off with some sort of donation system as well for sertain mods, or pretty soon everybody what puts together a singleplayer is gonna charge for it.
And modding becomes a greedy money bisness ?

- I want order (also a con)
- I like to be commanded (also a con)
Con:
- Can be as stuborn as a donkey when I think I'm right.
- Poor social skills (man, why talk if I can type with 2 fingers)
- Unsertain of myself
- I'm a nobody
- And I'm also fat
-
I'll wait for the review in my favorite gameasmagazine for now,
Don't like the sound of episodic really.
Who cares is it looks like HL2 (or not) as long as its fun and makes a littlebit of sence.
Anyway I'm probebly not interested I wait for episode 1 even tough I wonder if its gonna be worth its money as well.
I expect some new things besides more story but I'm wandering off now

I was thinking about modernish Guntlet'ish multiplay game for HL2 where the player controls his avatar from a isomethic perspective (is that sayd right)
The world itself is build 3d but you can't rotate or anything and the screen slides along when you move your avatar.
It would be a multiplayer game with CTF and FFA gamestyles and you can get better equipment, powers etc from chests or crates that spawn randomly on the map.
Some physics and traps and whatever I can think of can be in it

Once thats done in a modern style there could be medievil and future settings/weapons/maps

Could be rebels vs combine initially.
A bit oldshoolish/arcade and mostly aimed at having fun

I remember the days of playing Bomberman and Gauntlet with a few on Nintendo consoles and tought what if you can have 16 players or more running around

concrete stuff in last pic is indeed a tunnel
[Blocked Image: http://awakening.hl2files.com/images/top.jpg]
Hmm ice, don't think there are that kind of ice textures in HL2
(besides that stuff I used as ceiling in the 2nd last pic
)Moving water doesn't freeze that easily anyway so it should't be a problem.
Having (broken/floating) ice would indeed increase the looks but I have to draw a line somewhere, there is so much I want to do, makes me wish I could quit my job

Lighting is probebly not my strongest point
Wait forget that, the snow reflects everything, yeah thats it

Added the 2 screenshots I send to PHL.
