    He's strictly being contrary for the sake of being contrary though skjalg. There's no way any of us could know what that girl was on about and his generalization is just as much a generalization as mine. However mine is at the very least backed up by some anecdotal knowledge. Trust me (and ask Mikey about my mohawk) I know punks/goths/whatever. Goths are the dramawhores of the "scene." They live on being ever ensconced in a mood of depression and infighting. They're petty and vain and self destructive.

    I once stumbled upon this norwegian site written by a 16 year old girl, and she had written her entire life story and goodbye note on that site right before she off'd herself. One thing that I remembered was a story about when she was in class once, they had a discussion about what the worst thing that could happen to you were and the teacher said it was death! She herself, having been molested by her dad over a couple of years didnt agree, because she'd rather be dead than be feeling what she was feeling. The shame, the shyness, the never wanting a boy to touch her, having commitment problems etc etc.

    ofcourse I agreed with the teacher here, because I believe that you eventually can overcome such problems and live a happy life in, say, 10 years. But I can also see that during those 10 years, it's probably hell and 10 years of torture for that kid. And when you are tortured, and you never know when it'll stop, many people want to off themselves.

    True true, I can agree with that, skjalg. That's a special kind of daily torture for 10 years of mental anguish. Anyone have any concrete specifics on this girl's cause of death? I mean, I think at this point we're all generalizing or guessing from anecdotal evidence. I've known lots of gothic kids in my time so that's what I'm pulling from and the story that Skjalg just related here is another very valid angle. So what's the particulars of this case?

    I have no idea why this goth angel killed herself and neither do you. You projected your negative thoughts onto her while at the same time pretending to be positive in life. Ironic.

You state obvious natures while skipping completely over the fact that in this case this dumbass's actions hurt all those around her for a purely selfish solution to very temporary problems. I have empathy for her problems, not her actions. I have empathy for her parents and friends.     I think you missed the point of my arguments though. Her death is tragic to her family and friends and her death was selfish because it caused that tragedy and was a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

    Yes, it is that complicated numbnuts. High school drama and high school depression is dealt with and above all: TEMPORARY. There's a level of maturity and sense of self that most people get after they've gone through their teenaged years. If you can't get past that you're weak, and if you choose suicide you're even weaker and you really don't care about others and are selfish to the extreme fault. Her life effected others, especially her parents who now have a huge hole in their lives because of their selfish shit-head goth daughter. Here's a hint RD, she's not with Jesus, she's not with the Devil, she does not exist anymore. She is inanimate carbon molecules slowly diffusing back into the nether or other molecular structures. She gave up her life and her consciousness because of some petty, temporary drama-laden teenaged woe and that is disgusting.
