I'm also interested in learning modelling, so I searched a really basic tutorial, here's the result

It looks nothing like the one in the tutorial though, lol. I couldn't find a lot of things in 3DSMAX that were explained in the tutorial, guess it has gone through a lot of updates since the tutorial was posted.

The map is taking forever to download

Here's some info about player dimensions in CSGO.
-
I came across it on the workshop a few days ago and it immediately caught my attention! I subscrided to give it a go, but for some reason CSGO doesn't download/updates any maps from the work shop no more

It's looking great and I love that you're making your own custom content for it! Also like the idea of the whole insertion concept, although it may not get very popular online, it could make for a cool LAN map, as Puddy mentioned

Can't wait to try it out, I'm eager to see how it looks and plays ingame!

Nice one, vivi

I could provide one for Ali (although I think it's pretty obvious), but if somebody else posts one please use a spoiler tag. I rather discover each one myself

de_plaka brings up some good oldskool memories

I'm all up for playtesting this! It does indeed seem like it lacks some cover, but who knows how it plays. Have you changed any gameplay settings (like rzl mentioned, gravity or something? is that even possible client-side)?
-
Looks really cool!
Were you by any chance influenced by this?

Nicely done! How did you make it?
-
@ penE: Looking a lot better, imo.
About the bogies, you don't actually see any wheels, which makes it look weird. I understand they're meant to be blocky because of gameplay reasons, but it would look a lot better if the wheels are visible.
I don't know what references you used, but a quick google search didn't show something similar to what you got now.
Here's a reference of an alternative which doesn't allow to see/shoot through it and looks less blocky. Not sure if it's useful as for players to be able to crouch under the wagons the bogies probably need to be higher than the ones in the reference photo.

Awesome work! It has been great to watch the map evolve to what it now is!
And congratz on the release, Puddy and Rick

Quote from Puddy
I really like this.
You've got some nice, crisp and clean brushwork, a good unifying theme and a very readable environment. But!
The map lacks a bit of "oomph" and could really use some more varied lighting, it's really close to fullbright atm, and a few more details here and there.Great work!
I'm a bit late, but I've been away from internet for some time
Pretty much what Puddy and a few others said. It looks really solid, great brushwork and all, but it could benefit from some more interesting lighting. Eventhough the skybox is pretty cloudy the map doesn't seem to have any shadows whatsoever outside, which makes it look kinda flat.Just for inspiration (not saying a cloudy skybox is not the way to go), when I google Borneo I stumble upon pictures like this:

Overall great work! And nice job on the custom assets as well!
