I found this to sum things up pretty well. Some stuff is really speculatory, but it gives a good run of things nonetheless.

Your assault remake will be better as long as you don't completely whore it out with worthless hl2world banners.

I love how this screen is lit, very cool.

Glad to hear they selected Painkiller. Great game, beautiful level design, and an excellent engine. Hopefully this will revive it's almost-dormant multiplayer mode.

That's actually the lesser of my two systems~
I can run CS:S just fine on the other with my 9600 AIW Pro.

Client-side AFAIK. You'll sometimes see people shooting your corpse, and missing, since the body fell in a different pattern on their client.

The block-block lettering set~

The first one looks great: color scheme, layout, gear logo. Just change that font, it's tough to read and seems out of place with the lettering below it.

Ooh, ogee arches.

You try SC4 mino? If you liked 3k, then you'll love 4. The terrain editor is quite impressive.

Gotta mention the latest from the SimCity series. 3000 and 4 have some excellent tracks.
I personally admire the soundtracks from FFVI and and FFIX the most, but everyone seems to have their own opinions on stuff from the series.

mhmmm, little kid gangs with tanks...
What kind of view perspective does the game play at? The stuff looks pretty good, it just seems like some buildings were built for top-down 2d, and others for isometric.

That's very good to hear.
