It's lovely how you've completely changed the expectations of a certain art style (being City 17 in this case) just through lighting and fog.

    Good work.

Actually, if you're the same dux, I remember some of your Natural Selection mapping back in the day that rocked.

Then why don't you tell him!

Honestly, Eliot, your post was like a business pitch.

I also think you need to humanise the background rocks, it seriously looks like Mars or some other alien planet rather than Earth - very harsh and sharp.

    Rest looks great.

Bummed in the gob. Can I just use a regular light instead of a light_spot and have it work?

You could try, using blocklight to channel the light the way you want it.

Or, trying sticking with the lightspots but messing with smoothgroups and the lightmap grid.

I've had stuff like that happen before. No explanation for it, of course. Source just likes to rape people's aesthetical choices.

Glasgow is one hell of an inpenatrable accent, it's true.

Doesn't help that they're talking rapidly to fit it all inside 10 minutes.

Still, surely you can work out phrases like 'pure pish'?

I think his stronger solo stuff is excellent. While it's not as consistent, and many of his albums lack the genius of Johnny Marr's guitar-work.. it's still brilliant in its own right.

Don't get me wrong, I love Suedehead etc.

I guess I'm just addicted to Marr's riffs. They're easily the catchiest in the world.

Morrissey - Every Day Is Like Sunday. I love him, he's like one of the most awesome text writers ever and his music is great

    You're not wrong.

But his stuff with The Smiths is 100x better than his solo career.

Nah, not bad at all. Some nice shading here and there, you've just got to work on overall shape and proportion.
