Just got myself a cool 22" lcd monitor, it's not the prettiest but its performance is far better from similarly priced ones[Blocked Image: http://www.saoner.it/public/image/2232bw.jpg]
After reading a thousand reviews on which pc monitors who are the best (I needed something affordable and great, after my 1k$ 24" dell monitor got ruined), then Samsung syncmaster received great reviews everywhere. After about 6 months use I gotta say that I think Samsung bought and paid for every single review.
Benq 24" ftw next time, got one at work and its superb for the price its beeing sold at.

Great tip! Oh and yeah, the brush limit has been there from the dawn of quake1
-
I think you can bypass it, cant remember the command tho, but I remember I did it somehow when mapping for the regular half-life.
It's when you reach the maximum number of entities you are hurting

edit, found this quote.
QuoteZoner's, Merle's & Cagey's Compiling tools may have some higher limits, such as 8192+ MAX_MAP_BRUSHES or 2048 for MAX_MAP_ENTITIES.Furthermore, some Mods have lower limits. Find the Mod's coder and ask if you think so.
Which probably means that my soloution 10 years ago was to switch to Zoners compile tools, which leads you to this soloution;
QuoteSolution:Delete some brushes, turn some of them into models for area's high in detail. For singleplayer maps, you may decide to add a level transition and split the map into multiple levels. Multiplayer maps that reach this limit are probably too big for multiplayer anyway.

wow, really really really nice job

I remember back when i was doing regular half-life maps on my 200Mghz processor, it took almost 30 hours to do vrad

It certainly looks really awesome from the screenshots, I actually bought the unreal pack on steam just so I could test the mod.
But I gotta say, after checking out the youtube video it didnt appeal that much to me at all. Maybe you should have shown one hard puzzle so you would convince me its not about just pushing a ball and running.

holy crap I literally rofl'd at zyndromes tank

I can clearly see a shower in the pic. what does a shower do at a lan party. Kinda ruining the whole LAN expeience imo ;D

lol nice suggestions guys, made me laugh

I'm soon moving to a new unfurnished apartment so I'm thinking about how I would lay things out. Where would I sleep? Where should I eat?
Where is my computer and desk going, where is Skjalg going to sit? etc.
I will honour the best idea by implementing the design (lol coder talk)
These are the entities you can place out
Desk with computer
Bed
Tv
Fill in with tables and chairs and other crazy stuff as you see fit. The previous is my bare necessities. And without you guys, thats all there will be. So knock yourselves out.
Best regards

friend of skjalg and superior to him in every way.

I think alot of people is missing the big picture here, the world has been fucked up for tens of thousands of years, this is nothing new...
The only new thing is that mass media can distribute all the filth directly home to your lazy ass, if you choose to focus on all the negative shit that happens... I mean, can you really tell me straight up that you don't think a 13 year old or even a 5 year old brit has had a child before? comeon

great fun! mapping was great, playtesting was even funnier. best situation was the mass-gibbing that crashed the server
im still impressed by the work warby and koko pulled off and i liked minos and peris ones. best idea was skjalg though. pretty weird at start but the solution was simply striking.Haha thanks, I wish I had more time to work in some more top-down approaches so it wasnt just the house
