Quote from MazyOh and Skjalg, FYI then GOW2 > GOW1
Psht. The first one had perfect flow, while the second one was better in visuals and story.
But as for the actual game play; you know the part of the game that makes it fun to play, and not to just watch, then the first one was a lot better and more polished ![]()
I have just spent the last 4 weeks playing through both, without even knowing what the games were about before I sat down and played them. I am sure tho, that if you spent 3 years waiting for the second game to come out then it might have made the experience better for you.
I hope this holds up to the first God of war! The second one had too many flaws in it to be as super-awesome as the first one.
Quote from CampaignjunkieI taught a game design class and tried using an achievement-style system for grading / attendance... it failed because that meant I had to keep track of said achievements and it was a total pain the ass. I mean, it sounds great in theory, but without a computer (or an underpaid aide) to track and log everything for you in the real world, then it's really not worth the relatively meager gains.
It would take you about a days work with any programmer tool to make that job take you 5 minutes.
At my daytime job we actually discussed this a couple of months ago in our programmer team; that we should try to implement game play ideas into our product more so that the whole experience because more fun. We're making an ERP soloution/Economy software for small businesses.
And here I thought I was clever and being the only one who thought of this idea.
I dont get that, it is funny because it is nerdy and lame..
why you be hatin' ?
pure genius. that guy deserves a key
Quote from twizMaybe its just me, but Terrans were underpowered in SC1 as well.
That is definatly just you
They are the hardest to master, which is why people think they suck. But when you do know how to play with them then you own pretty hard. Some people say that is what is happening in sc2 as well.
And yeah, reapers are owning the lower tiers of the ladder right now, but you hardly see the top 20 use it. They usually either go for early air-to-ground or tank/marine push like in the old sc.
I've been watching a lot of live streams from pro players and it seems that the terrans are a bit underpowered at the moment. Most people seems to love the reapers, but they aren't powerful enough to warrant the love they are getting (which means they get raped).
2 friends of mine have bought cd keys from Ebay for about 300$, and a third one is looking for one ![]()
I played civ4 a lot as well, will most likely give this one a few hours of my time ![]()
Hey guys I just talked to Wacko on MSN and he told me he had 5 keys to give out as well if you PM him.
When this launches we gotta do a mapcorian tournament!
lol yeah Id fucking LOVE to get a key (me and warby both) since we're both sitting here drooling over the live streams of people playing the beta ![]()
Quote from NysuatroAnd which site did you use?
They charge insane amounts of cash, for the "premium" stuff, which basically is sending messages. So be warned. I signed up there because I didn't know about that, and when I did I had already filled out all their shit. On the other hand, you'll only meet chicks that are really wanting a serious relationship tho.
I obviously didn't want to pay up so I just left everything be.
A couple of months later they emailed me on my birthday to congratulate me and give me 3 "free" days on their site. That was all the time I needed to find my current gf ![]()
You will never know which haystack is the right one until you've tried it, I guess ![]()
Online dating worked fine for me, you should try it.
