Been working on this on and off for a couple of weeks now and I thought its about time i get some good critics on the forum instead of spamming #mapcore after each compile

The map is for Pirates, Vikings and Knights 2. The pictures feature the Pirate start and some of the paths to the main meeting place. There are some custom textures and props made by the PVK2 team + contributors i think.

    aren't you making an mmo?

Yeah, but you won't have to grind Salford street for 14 weeks to get one piece of level 56 armor in Expiration Date.

You've lowered it to 12 weeks?!??

there's plenty of art in games but I wouldn't go as far as saying they're art in themselves. more of entertainment like movies i say.

    Well, movies are art too...

Just because you enjoy it, doesnt make it not-art.

Whoa, header image and the "norwegian level artist" are really really cheesy.. but as always, I say something positive. It serves the purpose and the design is no nonsense and goes to the point like a buzzsaw (or something that actually goes to the point unlike buzzsaw).

    haha thanks

yeah, the banner really needs a change, but i really suck at making those... I've been trying to ask certain folks into doing it (read; badger them into it) but I didn't have any luck so i spent a few hours doing a shitty one myself

Hey guys, I've been working on a website for the last day or so and I'd like some feedback.

    http://skjalg.mapmonger.com/

I kept simplicity in mind, and i just wanted to smack the viewer in the face with all the media

I haven't uploaded some of the stuff at the bottom, and I've just used some redundant links to make it look like its supposed to be something there. Oh and, I haven't made the CSS yet, so the text font and all that look like crap, but I'll fix that tomorrow To download the maps, I'm going to make it so you can hover over the mapname (top right) and it'll turn to the same colours as the writing on the left side so people will see it as a button.

I was also thinking of having some rough "goto"-index at the left side of the whole page... not sure about that idea yet..

C&C please :] And if you don't have anything good to say, atleast explain why

This looks really awesum, but I can't help to think that this must be really laggy... especially in multiplayer...

You should do a betatest at this stage, with or without HDR^^

One must define first, what IS art, and then when the proper defining factors are clear, then we can say what is art. What is art is individual, everything is art, thusly, nothing is art, art is all.

is the only difference the grafitti if so, you should instead make 5 tileable brick textures that doesnt look the same instead and make the grafitti overlay textures of its own..
