    True!

Allthough I have learned som technical short cuts and tricks with the

help of tutorials, but thats only helpfull when you are fearly good at

    Photoshop.

No, the best thing to do is to be honestly interrested in exploring PS,

then things will automaticly be easyer to do.

Thanx for advice Klein, I will have another go and see if I can be more

    gentle with it.

    But...

    Quote from Marcos

You see those shiny and bright monitors and buttons? It's created by overlay textures ~

It might be me who is a little dim here,

but do you mean setting the layer to overlay, if so, thats not what

I have used, I use airbrush to create the glow effect and shine in the monitors...

Do mean it needs more glow and shine maybe?

    What is an original idea?

Who can come up with an idea wich has not been done before?

I mean a good idea, not some weed smoki'n beer can on his

adventures through neverland, but a good neverbefore made

    in anyway original idea!!!!

I mean you are bound to make something that is reminding

someone about something made before, are you not?

Therefore an original idea in gaming sence will be in the small

print, the details, how it interacts with the player, the game layout,

the goal of it, the feel it gives the player.

Everything cant be brand new and never before seen,

that's the same way with music, it is, on the most part the same but

    with slight variations.

If you are in to death metal and starting a band, you are going to

make music in that genre with a touch of your personality.

To a person who dont like that type of music it is not going to sound

any different, it's just going to be another one of those stupid

death metal bands with no originality!

My point is that if you dont like the type of game mawibse is aiming

for, it,s going to sound like just another CS game!

If he can make a game with a good feel, flow and gameplay,

why shouldnt that have a chance?

    (I think)

    Hmmm...

Some tips I get is, do more sharpening and some say less sharpening!?

Well I think I will do just about regular sharpening, like what I do normaly,

and that is a bit less than the last texture.

And yeah Klein, I fucked up the lights and will se what I can figure out...

And what do u mean with "some overlays" Marcos?

    Thanx for comments...

    Thanx for tips,

I have done some changes based on that...

I think I am kind of happy with it now,

I will do some smal changes to the bottom lights later.

They changed colour during my sharpening frenzy!

    Ok?

    Ok,

    done some changes,

it's not so much plastic anymore, but maybe turned to stone!

Guess it looks a bit like metal though (hope).

Yes I agree it needs more details, but I wanted it to be minimalistic.

    I think it's better now...

Yeah, sky city, that's kinda the look I was going for...

Should I change the light strip completly?

Edit: There is no door here by the way...

Just want to say that I think CS would have been much better, in my

opinion, with just a tad more realism.

It's dressed up to look realistic so it should be realistic,

if not, it might as well be bunny rabbits with machine guns...

Thats how it feels like to play anyway.

Dont know why most people doom this project right away,

this is most likely the future of CS like games, I mean,

most off us has grown out of CS and want a game like that,

but one that acts the way it looks, real...

So I say GO, but remember that it's still a game ur making so

you will have to make some compromises to make it work.

    Hey skdr!

    This is nice,

    I agree on Posties comments,

and on top of that I think the vertical planks are to far away (floating)

    from the horizontal background planks.

Try making the backround planks more dirty where they meet the

    vertical ones.

If they are old (and they look old) there should be some dirt there

and that will maybe help the "floating" feel.

It allso looks a bit large I think.

But jeez man this is nice...

Well I need some advice here,

I know this is not a dirty future metal wall, but it's a future wall anyways.

I wanted to have a minimalistic plastic looking wall,

but dont no if I got that result...

It's not finished, the oval light things needs detailing and

I dont really now what i should do to the rest.

    Something is missing, any ideas?

    This sounds good,

and well thought through I think...

I love close to realistic games, as long as the controls are

    not to confusing!

It could be very good with the effects you are listing.

I tried the Vietnam game thing wich had the titinius piping

noise when a grenade went of close by, the screen went black

and then gradually vision came back with the piping noise

wich then slowly dissapeared, and that was so confusing and

    probably realistic. Very kool!

If you can manage the things you are mentioning, it could

    well be a survivor....

    Hey, very nice textures!

Love the colour and patina, it really looks old.

But I agree on The_Postmans coments,

and if you are looking for realism,

it needs to loose some of that soft feel.

The cracks need to be much more sharp on the edges and irregular,

the stucco or cement looks to thick.

I think they allso have to much highlight on the edges.

And maybe this is me beeing a bit picky, but the things that hold the

drain pipe in place look a bit toy'ish, (never seen a thing like that

    in the real world).

    This is my opinion,

we all have different ideas on what looks best though...

But again this is really 1first class!
