What we do have is "temp" AI around the map, because not all animations are finalized, we do not want to show off AI in action untill we are completly happy with all the models and such. Not to often do you see WIP shots from professional companies (unskinned models, editor shots, models that have improper porportions, etc). Though you do see early shots that they were happy with at the time, but that never made it to the final game. Animation is really killing us, the animators are hard to come by.

Heh I remember when they created the first illegal source map.. and every news site thought it was legal and raved about it. And i say illegal because they had the source leak.

These are the last shots from Chapter 2 that were just recently cleared for release, hope you enjoy. Expect to see a source version of this area quite soon.
For those of you unfamiliar with HL: Nightwatch, it is a single-player episode for Half-Life 1. More detail can be found here: http://www.hl-nightwatch.net

Really nice stuff sir.. I love the last one

I think you map looks really bland... it has the occasional red from the roof but all around i dont see any shadows from the buildings or anything of that sort.. I also so think that building with wood texture everwhere in it is very unrealistic and generic... what happened to the supports... are we using the Force to hold these buildings up? Your buildings dont look realistic enough... and I noticed that you have a brick wall enfencing the whole map...... yes thats what POW camp in europe might appear as but.. in the some other places they use electrical fences... if you use that method you can create alot better scenery with the sky box... just a thought.

its looks good, but it doesnt have a point... though HL1 DM maps.. never did. But what I fail to see here is something unique... and z-axis action. I would imagine both would serve a great purpose in todays HL2DM maps.

What ReNo said. Plus, remember that more brushes can be shown at once than in HL1 and it looks like you would have decent r's in HL1 but this is hl2... so the top of the hanger can be more that 6 faces... why not 12 or more? also I would suggest breaking the hangar roof up into several pieces, full of trims and supports.. also get some light_spots underneat those lights in the hangar.

I say lose some pipes, have better lighting (light blue lighting is great for these kinds of areas... your architecture looks decent but nothin to craze about. Your textures are over scalled and blurred in areas... and it appears that you make a hallway and 2 rooms... then took pictures ...

I think your stuff looks really generic exspecially the "hangar" where the sub is, What happened to all the machinary hanging lights with wire all of the place, the occasional catwalk? The area by t he rotating door is just way to yellow for my comfort... even the silver vent looks yellow... you to change that. The buildings outside dont look to realistic maybe a patruding trim where the roofs start. Thats basically it... keep working at it though.

If anything release a VMF so that we can also "learn loads"...
