man normal map that shit. Get some awesome mapping of scratches and shit on the armor and really just deck it out so a simple diffuse map is all you need. Than you'd have a bad ass model.
Hammer:
Pros:
Easy BSP Manipulation/VertexManip
Texture Application Tools
Cons:
Reliance on BSP Brushes
Inability to add custom Materials
So User Friendly, I find you lose the ability to do advanced thigns
UnrealEd:
Pros:
Two clicks to Add Static Meshes
Two Clicks to add Textures
Easy Shader Creation, In Editor, Real Time Preview
Real Time Lighting
Awesome Terrain Tools
Easy Access to Occlution and Area Portals
Cons:
BSP Brushes are NOT as easy to work with as in Hammer
Texturing is a Pain in the Ass for me in this program, as I'm used to Hammer
I dislike the lighting, but thats slightly more the engine. I have also not worked with it long enough to make a good judgement on it.
Still very much a WIP. I have a lot more to show but I'm going to wait. As you can see I redid the tree models. Going to work on lighting some more. I have a lot of texturing to do for all the models. I redid the terrain to save some more polygons (you dont see that version yet) so I'll be spending those on odds and ends to improve the ambience. I have a clear vision of where I want to take this so I'm just showing you guys what I'm working on in my free time. Hope you enjoy.

damn I'm owned. Thanks for pointing that out KFS
I feel like an arse.
Keep that crap in the EOT.
The movies was interesting, but not my type of game. The level design really brought the whole project down in my opinion.
omfg its benneh boy~~~~
interesting.
Your water isn't cluttered enough. Its rather boring plane at the moment. Even the reflections aren't helping it. Putting some time to get some custom boats, boat ports, and overhangs for the water would substantialy catapult this map into a piece of art.
looks decent. However the walkways should've been broken closer so that they're more easily jumped. As you have it the gameplay would suck cause you'd have to fall off the walkways and go up the stairs...boring. The fan desperately needs some sort of trim to seperate it from the ground. Also spending time putting depth in your ceilings would help the atmosphere without cluttering the ground so that the gameplay stays fluid. As you have it now, except for the giant hole, its a very boring ceiling.
boring and lacking the proper ammount of attention towards theme, atmosphere and detail to make it something special. Looks like what it is, a bad remake. Not trying to be mean, but thats simply how it looks.
soon enough, soonenough lol
making textures all by myself is not enjoyable.
jesus, quite the variety. Nice job ![]()
what army is more powerful than the US's? come on! lets be serious here?!?!
its called a job
Get one, pay for web. Or do what I do and have wacko buy you one. Hahaha
hi5 wacko.
industrial or amphibian. DOne right, the amphibian could fucking rock. Industrial looked unique. The wild one looks boring because I've seen thousands of things similar to it. Feather one is not my soup.
a lot of polygons for very little detail in your rock faces.
if you can get details in maintaining the theme rather conflicting, it would be awesome cj.
