Yup, if you want a publisher to green light something it's better to have a franchise these days. Same goes for the new X-Com and Syndicate.
Quote from Senturahttp://www.computerandvideogames.com/329654/kojima-…-solid-5-ideas/... so you have liquid snake, solid snake and naked snake, who is also known as big boss, but who is different from the guy they call the boss. what the hell.
ToastyFrog Thumbnail Theatre sums up the plot to MGS games quite well.

[Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/231bL.gif] Solidus: Actually, I tricked Ocelot into manipulating you into manipulating me!
[Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/zg4FJ.gif] Ocelot: Fools! I've been manipulating everything from behind the scenes!

Just level up another character or run public Skeleton King runs until you're maxed.
The outside layouts are not randomly generated but they do have random elements. The small well, cellar, and mass grave placements all vary (I assume it just picks X amount to be available each time). The major dungeons are randomly generated like the Graveyard Crypts and Cathedral, except places where there are events like the Burial Crypt mini-boss and crown, Cathedral Level 3 with the Templar (though the latter half of this is randomly generated from one of two potential branch points near the fallen star) and the whole of the Cathedral Crypts (I forgot the name, I think they’re the Dead Crypts? That seems rather redundant).
I lamented the loss of assigning skills permanently but, to be honest, now I'm not at college and can't play this 24/7 like Diablo 2 I'm probably thankful. Swappable skills also lets Blizzard rebalance without worrying about invalidating everyone’s builds or forcing the FotM players to start over, so hopefully everything will stay viable. In the full game you can assign Runestones to each ability to change the way it works, so you effectively have six times the amount you can see in beta (which you can check out here). I think the experimentation route is stronger than being locked to your tree.
I think people know MGS has a lot of cutscenes.
Srsly, all Raiden does in MGS4 is twirl around like a ballerina killing gekko/cow robots.
tbh this is exactly how Raiden was portrayed in MGS4 except he's not getting stabbed in every fight.
It'll be interesting to see. Ninja Theory’s PR has been very bad, though. They have said in interviews they don’t care what the fans think and blamed them for Enslaved’s poor sales (~500,000). I appreciate they are in a position where there’s nothing they can do nothing right in the eyes of certain haters, but this is a questionable approach. Especially when they are listening and redesigned Dante 3 times.
Gameplay wise it has changed a lot, such as the removal of the style system in place of Heavenly Swords weapon system. Could be interesting, though, so I’m happy to wait and see.
Quote from knjDMC1-3 was good, this is looking kinda cool, i just dont get it why Dante has got black hairs ?
DMC4 was much better than DMC2. The game seems underrated because Nero whines a lot in the cutscenes and you have to backtrack, even though his Bringer mechanic was awesome, they let Dante change styles on the fly, and you backtracked in all the other games too (albeit not in such a linear fashion).
I think he’s meant to have dyed his hair? A lot of people are complaining about it because in the lore Dante’s white hair is from birth, because his human/demon heritage – though they’ve removed that too and he’s half angel now (which kind of invalidates the whole plot of the first game). But I’m rather surprised anyone really cares about the story of a series where you surf rockets and
Yup, second quest in the game.
I don't think Leah is in the older games anyway?
Quote from ErraticPlatinum games deserves better.
Yeah, Platinum Games was formed to escape Capcom Overlords and develop original IP. I'm sure they'll do a really good job but it's a shame.
I still think it's rather telling that MvC3, which included all the fan favourites of Capcom, have two Clover characters with Gene being one of the most requested who never got in - I hope they regret closing that studio down (I also think it’s pretty telling they used the DMC3 Dante design but that’s going even more off topic).
Quote from DarkI'm never watching VGA's again, that was awful. The MetalGearRising Rising, Revenge RISING! REVENGE IS RISING< REVENGENCE is RISING RISING, yes we get it trailer made me laugh multiple times.
It certainly doesn’t start like Diablo but after playing the last quest through a few times (to max level) and after twinking the shit out of my Sorceress it did start feeling a bit more traditional. The main problem to the feel is the quest structure, and I hope the following acts do not stick to the sequence of: unlock area -> complete quest at a waypoint in front of a locked door -> hand in quest. Contrary to other posts some dungeons floors are randomly generated and the static environments have some random elements.
Character progression has changed to avoid the risk of messing up your character. So you don't allocate stats on level up and will naturally learn all abilities and just decide what ones go on your hotbar. Though this is not true for your followers? They seemed locked forever. I guess I'm kind of for this as I can just max each class once, but being able to shuffle your skills around in town means you can always have the best tools for the job, and pubs are going to complain if you don't pop back to town and get the current FotM options.
The blacksmith is interesting and has a few advantages over the crafting system they included in WoW because of little things like it actually producing items you can use. You just turn a bunch of junk into a bunch of awesome. Your blacksmiths skill being based on the account rather than character is cool too.
Edit: I did write something here about making my Sorc imbalanced at level 2 but I was mistaken – the beta final boss just drops a load of awesome stuff with no level requirement for alts. Blacksmithing is level 7 and up apart from a belt you don’t know by default (I just threw everything in the stash, didn't remember where it all came from).
Sweet, I got in. Thanks people who may or may not have had an influence on this.
Edit: Halfway through the cathedral I got a tutorial popup saying taking damage reduces my life. Srsly?
Goddamn this has been stuck in my head for days.
Well 3 minutes after updating to 4.00 my PS3 exploded and I can't get it to turn on longer than a second. Was a 1st generation 1 PS3 with PSX/PS2 support - will be missed. So I am no longer playing Dark Souls or Disgaea 4. And, because I got screwed over on my stick, I can't play many fighting games at the moment either. #firstworldproblems
Still playing Skyrim but now I'm in full Draedic I don't feel much urge. Perhaps Lydia can get full dragon or something, since my old Ebony set is so heavy she can't carry much else, but she doesn't really do much these days except require babysitting. I heard she doesn't level up, which would explain a lot. Maybe I'll start again and use magic as I've cast about 3 different spells with this character tops, though apparently that's still enough to become the Archmage.
And still playing DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu. The only problem with the original game is it's too long, but all the shorter arrange modes contain so much bullet cancelling it's like Ikaruga with one bullet color.
I still download TV and Radio shows, though I pay my TV License (nothing good has been on C4 for about 11 years, and nothing good has been on ITV ever). I won’t lie and say I’ve never downloaded music, but anyone I like I obsess over anyone own pretty much everything they put out - I have Giant Squid vinyl and I can’t even play it. While I was in Japanland I even tried to find some of the random doujin circle stuff I’ve 'acquired' too.
Back in the PSX era I remember getting games as presents or saving up for them. These were games I knew were awesome through magazines or tell-tale signs like “Capcom” on the box. I did get a Gameshark/PlugMod so I could import Final Fantasy Tactics (awesome) and Chrono Cross (not awesome), but everything else was legit.
At one point I went around a friend’s house and where he had a modded PS1. He stuck a pen and some blue-tac into the lid so he could manually open it, caught the disc and then got out a massive folder of CD’s with game titles in marker. Though he played things completely different; he’d throw something in, randomly stab the buttons, and then pick up something else. I remember that made me more irritated off than the piracy, though I was cool about it all.
