accesible as in you wanna snipe from the roof?
Well I'd go for some usual 'movie' hostage situation stuff like spotlights and some police cars in strategic 'protective' positions.
Perhaps CT could spawn in some SWAT vans.
Outside should be CT's domain, inside T's domain.

Havent checked if sv_downloadurl is present in CSS, but if it is I think the filesize is not that important anymore?
.
Though I'd like to see some use of the physics.... how about some large icechunks that can slide around? And I demand a UFO stuck in some ice, not to mention a mammoth and... and... *sirens getting closer* ..oh, my ride is here, bye.

Take the innocent pumpkin growing in my garden all summer, cut it up and remove it's insides to stuff a little candle in it. Mwohahahaa! I'm evil, evil I tell ya!!
*takes pills*

Uhm, if you wish you could replace youre current streetlights with the model one from dod_stuka, think it would look much better.
.
Any other specific models you need (antennas, cars, AC's, trash, fence's, balcony's a.s.o.) just ask and I'll see what I can do?

The start of my purple period.
Yeah it's the yard and apartement of where I lived at the time.
I remember my freinds who played it said that when they entered the yard (the real one) they always looked up at the roof tops after a banana to RPG. (I always used the bananas in pyjamas skin in HLDM)

A bit late but...
If you'd go for the old HL1 engine I'd like to collaborate with you, I’ve done a couple of collaborations before regarding HL1 maps so I’ve got some experience.
If all you want to do is make an atmospheric map I’d prefer something not so “tight spaced” as an apartment. (does not work well in HL)
How about an old abandoned slaughter house/factory or similar if it’s the “horror” atmosphere you want?

Quote from Taylor
Ok, if anyone has got Shaun of the Dead and I dare say none of you have: The audio commentary is actually worth listening to, unlike every other commentary ever.
Please, the Evil Dead commentary rocked.
Eternal sunshine of the spottless mind, yeah I donno why but I just liked it alot, Jim not being over the top all the time was... soothing.
Home on the range sucked.

DoomIII looks awesome, but it wont do a European city as good as Source does.
Source looks awesome, but it wont do a sci-fi horror corridor shooter as good as DoomIII does.
DoomIII was fun, if you like corridor horror shooters, like HL1.
HL2 isn't out yet but trying to take out a Strider looks like loads of fun.
Wadda you say, should we start comparing Band of brotherens with Vampire: Blood wines next?
Clearly they are so vintage now that DoomIII is out, cause grphx is everything!

Yeah the lighting feels like the Unreal engine a bit... unreal.
Still, I think it looks like a glazed donut, mmmmmm.

Heck, I'd make a chunky "pizza with too many beers" puke!

Oh well, this preview was nice: "So far it's looking like one of the most immersive World War II games ever made"
-
Well, if you have all the dod gamefiles (extracted) do a search for mawibse.
But they should be gone by now, the DoD team are nice guys...
-
Hmm I should DL just to see if they still use my stuff though I explicitly told them not to.

Impressive!
The house texture reminds me of cod for some reason.
Some suggestions:
There is a low poly street lamp model that comes with dod_Stuka that I think would fit pretty nicely in you’re map.
I’d like to see a river/canal running through the village and a market place/square.
More variations on the houses (both textures and brushwork).
Some unique landmarks like a statue, phone booth, bakery and such for orientation.
Signs pointing in the direction of the map goals.
Every time someone dies make the church bell softly dong once.

Looks very nice, didn't think standing behind a tree during a firefight or checking if a downed buddy needed help was in the least detracting from the authenticity or "realism" of the game, the opposite in fact.
