    In case you havent followed the story of Natalee Holloway, she vanished on a dutch colony in south america a while ago, and her mother and dr. Phil have started a ridiculous campaign against Aruba and Holland including boycots. Now shocking new evidence has been found:

    The breaking news (11/23/05) is that the Dutch forensic audio lab has reported back (based on a statement from Aruban police) that the Dr. Phil tape has been altered inappropriately. Here is how they are quoted in an AP news article:

    The tapes played on U.S. television appear to have been altered to suggest Deepak admitted to a sexual act, our forensic investigators tell us, the original tape did not say that," Gerald Dompig, chief of police for the Dutch Caribbean island, said in a statement. "I have reviewed the findings of the Forensic Institute in Holland...those results state that the tapes were not authentic in regard to statement made by Deepak Kalpoe," Dompig said

    Everybody just got to keep doing what theyre doing. Americans stay in Iraq, PEOPLE at home protest against it and Bush leave office in a few years.

    Its easy saying that invading Iraq was dumb, but the whole world was fooled, and we would still be in a mess today BECAUSE there was no solution. Its HYPOCRITICAL, just like saying that fighting terrorism isnt the solution. The whole world is flabbergasted, you just as much as Israel Lurker.

    China is banning games because they see them very differently. Have you ever been to Japan for example?     Japan is the absolute opposite of China. You can do anything there, even weirder stuff than in the US. They got sex motels

    Anyways, read over Fletch's posts again. Ppl get arrested, the chinese dont like censorship any more than anybody. Theyre not so alien that they dont like freedom or breath plasma.

    Are there even such games about China? Most games are just as fictitious as halflife. Besides that you only assume they would get banned, which i doubt. Just look at movies or documentaries, theres plenty critisizing Guantanamo, Iraq, or whatever you can imagine. Theres hundreds of books and shows about 911 conspiracies, they dont need to be banned, people just dont want them. Most of the time ppl dont want to create such nefarious vile in the first place let alone sell it

    Youre contradicting yourself there Daano :wink: Besides that, like Grayfox said, every single good deed is a selfish one. If you save a drowning person, it relieves guilt. If donating didnt, they would be psychopaths and no money would ever be raised.

    As for it being kitsch, i like that, its the way it works best. Its not an oprah show you watch to feel jolly

    Your whole story about ppl stopping donations if they dont hear enough from someplace just dont make sense. Its funny that basically all excuses so far are ppl complaining that others are hypocrits (but they donate), or others are stupid if they stop donating (but they donate), but its you that doesnt donate at all. Seriously how can you not see your own mind being fooled.

    What do all these other ppl have to do with you donating? They are no excuse, they probably only exist in your mind. And what fictional african tribe has it worse than the victims of this quake?
