So BJA is having my babies - decision final.
Don't like the lighting on 2 - but the other two are fantastic. REALLY awesome work.

SpicyTanuki - looking good. In that in game screen, I know you said it is old, I would probably try to darken the sky a little if you can. I like the lighting / atmosphere you are going for, but I am not 100% sure that sky suits.
Omega - That is looking much better. But would be nice to see something other than a corridor.
Warby - Fantastic, Love it. My only gripe is the last screenshot, bit too red for me. I love the theme you are going for though, very cool.
Honestly - I've never played Crysis, but the lighting is way too bloomy imo.
Definitely liking the vertical stuff.
Not sure what your layout is like, but it'd be cool to see some scaffolding and stuff hanging off the sides of those cliffs, just to add to that whole feeling of "you gotta watch your back, top, front, sides, bottom" etc.
The ones on the walls.
I don't know - when I first looked at them it didnt occur to me that they were washing machines.
Vivi - I love your work
But can I just say that I think those washing machines look a tad ridiculous.
Um Nexus, that is just the standard grey dev texture for HL2.
The lighting is making it look blue.
What game is that for?
For some reason it really reminds me of Perfect Dark & Goldeneye
This is for HL right D3?
I know you said not to comment about it - but for the background, instead of using a photo as the texture, why not recreate it as a texture? Or several? That way it will look 100x better and not look pasted into the screen.
Quote from BJANightWolf: I don't like how the top of the concrete and the bottom of the rocks create such a perfect straight line. Maybe add some extra geometry to the concrete wall/the pillars or put a fence in front of the rocks, I don't know. Other than that I really like the rest
Basically what I was saying but much better explained - thanks BJA ![]()
Maybe just bring in the displacements in a little on the bottom, I think maybe that is the problem. Obviously not a major thing.. Heh.
Nice work I really like that.
Great work on a bunkerish level.
My only suggestion is to have the displacements in the first shot be inset behind the concrete. What I mean is they look wierd with the concrete underneath them along the bottom, because unless the rock is fake, techinically the concrete should be on top.
Nice progress there. Love the platforms.
On the name - Uturn sounds a bit meh..
I don't mind greystone. Or some possible other suggestions...
Revolve
Dejavu
Pivot
PivotShift
I do like that Psycho - seems like a good start.
My only real concern is the same texture use up the wall. I can only question that maybe it is temp, since you still have a dev floor texture in there?
If not try to break it up a bit, maybe even consider adding some depth to the wall? A battlements that struts out supported by wooden beams off the side? Perhaps even an indented balcony on that second level?
I don't know, it just seems that it could be a little less flat and repetitive.
But like 2d said, good start and definitely has that traditional TFC feel to it. However I still think that you can expand on that style, not necessarily in a TF2 direction - but somewhere.
Ah minos I remember that map
Nice work~~
Yeah good start & as mino said good scale.
Can defiently use some props.
Also try to break some textures up a little. Don't use the same window texture on every level of the building, if you are you going to use the default HL2 C17 textures, there is a few variations on each texture, which work brilliantly together.
Try also not to keep the walls so flat.. To show you what I mean I will point you to Sa7an's Nuclear Dawn map. Examples:

Just see how he takes what could be bland boring walls and makes them a lot more interesting. Little minor details, air con units, windows & doors indented and ajar, sign overhangs etc.
Hope that helps.
Edit:
I know it is a WIP, just wanted to give some feedback ![]()
Just to give Rick_D an update. You can now filter by game.
hi D3~
Dave - I just like the feel of it that is all, I respect everyone else's opinions I was just giving my own.
I'll stop trying to give my opinions, I can't be bothered trying to justify why I feel this is a positive move for the site.
Just all you need to keep in mind is that v4 is still in development, and we are rolling in features and new ones that will make a lot of people happy, and please if you have a suggestion - just suggest it via the contact us page of the website, and it'll probably be implemented.
