I fully understand and respect the challenge involved in working with older tech (having been involved in a project for quite a while as newer stuff was coming out), but... uh...
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
*ahem* I'm ok.
lol yeah I hate when HL mappers are like that. I really don't get them. Maybe they are just to lazy to learn the new material system, can't model etc...
Anyways, I'm not really impressed with paranoia anymore. Maybe if they had released it 5 years ago ?

thats pretty pathetic.. but they do that in prison? isnt there some control over what prisoners do in brazil??

Money can buy anything in a poor country, specially when prison guards earn so little.

alright I made this silly video for a film festival (only to get extra credits for uni) in half an hour but it's rather fun
It's my gf and I playing with our black lab btw. -
They don't do it for fun KT. Fake kidnaps are played by prisoners who somehow have access to celphones and call random people in order to steal easy money.
-
Some fags once called my mom and claimed they had kidnapped my bro (there was a random guy crying in the distance and shouting stuff like "mom they are going to kill me" etc).
She tried to call him but his celphone was turned off sadly. Then the "kidnappers" started to threaten to murder him blah blah blah. They almost drove my mom crazy

Fake kidnaps are rather popular here, which sucks hard.

How about posting the spec/normal map as well ?

Well I'm not sure why the skybox looks so blurry. HL2 skyboxes are 512x512 yet they look a lot sharper than that. Can't you just place some moving clouds to hide the blurriness in the skybox then ?

haha this is one of the coolest news I have seen in quite a while (if not the coolest ever!).
QuoteDisplay MoreA five-year-old boy dressed as Spider-Man became a real life hero when he saved a baby girl from a burning house in Brazil.
Pint-sized superhero Riquelme Maciel stepped into the house to pull the one-year-old to safety after he saw her mother crying. The boy had been playing with a friend in his back yard when they spotted smoke coming from the window of a wooden house.
Using his Spidey senses he ran to tell the baby's mother Lucilene dos Santos, but she was too afraid to enter the blazing house. Without hesitating, the tiny masked crusader decided he would brave the flames to save baby Andrieli from her cradle.
Mrs Santos told reporters: "He said, 'don't cry, don't scream because I'm going to save Andrielle'. "Then I began shouting for him not to go because I was scared he would die in the fire."
But Riquelme did not think twice. After the rescue the Spider-Boy simply said: "I decided to go inside the house and save her."
Fire department's chief Jose de Macedo praised the boy's bravery, but warned parents and children about copying his actions. He said: "It is very dangerous. This requires a trained crew and proper gear. So we pass on this warning that it is not recommended."
After his heroic act, Riquelme became the talk of the town, making it on to the front pages of local newspapers.
He says He now wants to become a firefighter and save more lives - although whether he will be allowed to wear his Spider-Man costume while he does it remains to be seen.
