Even tho it is not much to do right now, i can't help to think how small things will make the world feel bigger, so i guess they can expand through updates? Also, how nice are the players in this game?? I was an asshole, because i assumed the crew on a ship was assholes. You know, like people online are.

Well after shooting at them they swam aboard, laughed at me and repaired my ship. So i followed them, climbed on their boat and started playing the accordion to show them i was not hostile anymore.

Theese guys told me to follow them to the nearest island and i could get their booty, 2000 gold just like that! After that we sailed towards a big skull in the sky where as they killed of alot of skeletons just to let me turn in 50% of the loot.

Some of the nicest people i've played with, really took care of me as a noob.

Still, i'm gonna attack the next boat i see because, you know. I',m Captain Jack Shit.

I've seen a few Werner Herzog documentaries before but wasn't aware that he also made films early in his career. This one is about an alcoholic musician released from prison trying to find meaning in his life, and of course being kick around by everyone. This guy is a complete simpleton that doesn't give a shit about anything, which makes the movie even more strange, sometimes I can't tell if some scenes are supposed to be funny or tragic lol. Overall it is a simple movie with strange actors but a really good experience. I'll definitely come back to this later, even if the premise sounds depressive the movie feels very comfortable, in a strange away. Again, very strange movie but worth a watch. Save this one for those cold introspective nights :D

    Interesting fact about this movie:

There's an interesting coincidence regarding your great film Stroszek. Reading about the suicide of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis in the book Touching from a Distance we learn that he watched Stroszek before killing himself. While reading Faber's Lynch on Lynch, David Lynch talks about being in the UK filming The Elephant Man and seeing Stroszek on TV. Curtis and Lynch appear to have been watching the transmission of the same film at the same time. Although it's a huge simplification, the reactions of the two viewers appear to swing between a complete enchantment of life and self-destruction. Do you find this reveals something about your work?

    Werner Herzog

It is a very heavy question. There is no frivolity in answering this. I cannot really argue. It is as it is. I wish this singer was still alive and hadn't seen Stroszek at that moment. But deep at the bottom of my heart I do believe that Stroszek was not the reason that he killed himself. I do believe that he must have had some very, very serious deeper other reasons and he may have, and I'm very cautious, he may have used the film as a ritual step into what he was doing. Regarding David Lynch when he was doing Elephant Man, which is a wonderful film, I do not know. I actually know David Lynch personally and I should speak to him and ask him. There's no real answer to that question, only regret that a young man committed suicide. That's a fact that is sad which is very, very serious and is very disquieting.

To be honest, even if Source is "old-school", that mentality of keeping geometry simple instead of sculpting and kitbashing everything in zbrush will give you a solid foundation to become a better environment artist in general. I feel that the way I work on Overwatch is still very similar to the way I worked on Half-Life 1 maps, I just have more tools at my disposal now, but the foundation is basically the same!

This story is much more complicated than it appears on the surface. She was on a website looking for a Sugar Daddy, they were together 3 times willingly and who knows if she didn't lie about her age? We have to be careful about demonizing everyone in this climate of fear and suspicion that we live now. They could have probably dealt with this a lot better than by going to the authorities, who only see black OR white (literally lol). There's also a huge difference between dating a 15 year-old, who is using her free will to look for an older dude on a creepy website, to being a pedophile (someone who sexually abuses kids and fucks them up for life, which is clearly not the case here). Mistakes were made on both sides.

I dunno man, give the right (or wrong) set of circumstances and it could happen to anyone.

  • Cape Town to run out of water

Quote By late spring, four million people in the city of Cape Town—one of Africa's most affluent metropolises—may have to stand in line surrounded by armed guards to collect rations of the region's most precious commodity: drinking water.

    Scary shit indeed!

I remember back in school there was a geography teacher who was always preaching that future wars would be fought over fresh water. I thought he was tripping balls back then but that possibility grows more plausible by the day. It doesn't seem like we are doing great advances in water purification programs (at least not large scale afaik) and Brazil has the biggest reserves of fresh water in the world so guess who would be the prime target in that case that comes to be :P

Sao Paulo, a city of more than 12 million almost ran out of water a few years back and no one seems to remember or care anymore. Honestly I can't really blame them, being bombarded by news and information from everywhere makes it easier to forget about important matters, especially when you are having a hard time just getting by with a bad economy and rampant crime.

Much like Cape Town's fiasco, reservoirs in Sao Paulo, Brazil, dropped so low in 2015 that pipes drew in mud, emergency water trucks were looted, and the flow of water to taps in many homes was cut to just a few hours twice a week. Only last-minute rains prevented Brazilian authorities from having to close taps completely.

"Sao Paulo was down to less than 20 days of water supply," says Betsy Otto, director of the global water program at the World Resources Institute. "What we're starting to see are the confluence of a lot of factors that might be underappreciated, ignored, or changing. Brought together, though, they create the perfect storm."

It's very clear how humanity has advanced exponentially technologically, but we are still the same dumb primates we have always been.

But even that doesn't matter either. Mother nature will rebuild this place once we are gone. Let's go out in the sun and enjoy our pools while we still can

And good luck to my South African friends.

Looks really cool but the bounce is really out of control! If you tone it down and exaggerate it in a few small pockets where it makes sense, it should make it stand out much more. Gotta use some contrast to reinforce some ideas!
