You never know what kind of conclusions people with prejudices about videogames will draw from this, but in my opinion this was a fair, unbiased report on the dangers of gaming addiction.

With all these lifes that WoW claimed I don't see anything wrong with making a documentary about people who fell for this kind of addiction. This of course only applies to what I've seen in the trailer...

hmm sounds like there's something fishy going on with play.com... didn't warby also have problems?

I ordered it one week ago, since the package has to travel from the Commonwealth all the way to the Reich I will cut them some slack!

I got Left 4 dead 2 for 5 € during the Thanksgiving sale, that's what I call bang for the buck! I also ordered Darksiders for 17 € at play.com, still waiting for it to arrive though.

BREAKING NEWS: The mystical creature widely known as "Mazy" has been sighted in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen on Monday this week! According to scientists it was lured to the place with burgers and beer, one snapshot could be taken:

I met Zacker too, he took a picture of us when I woke up the next day (I slept on his couch during the duration of my visit in Denmark). I hope he won't post it here (and instead decide to blackmail me at some point in the future when I least expect it )!

I'm not sure if I agree with the decision to make the player stop when reaching a bonus multiplier but overall I think you did well with the little time you had.

The next contest is already on its way. Vote for us to get nominated for the "indie of the year" award over at indiedb: http://www.indiedb.com/games/pirates-of-new-horizons (no registration required) I know, Minecraft has the best chances to win any indie award this year, but even a nomination would be awesome!

P.S. Here's playthrough video for those who haven't played (the last level of) the prototype or just want to check if they have found all gems/items

Steam is estimated to be around 80% of total digital sales, not total game sales of physical and digital combined. Ask any publisher, they will tell you that physical retail is a lot more important to them than digital. Simply because it still represents the bigger revenue stream.

Last year NPD estimations crossed 50% for how much of total PC gaming in the US is represented by digital sales.

For "PC" gaming, yeah maybe, but sales only? Or generated revenues in total (that includes subscriptions, microtransactions etc.)? Anyway, not the topic at hand, just wanted to point out that bricks-and-mortar retail is still very important, especially as far as consoles go and everybody knows the big publishers love them consoles.

In fact, at this point, brick and mortar stores are probably the last people to convince a publisher from doing anything. Digital distribution, be is Steam or some other platform, makes up a good 80% of total sales (I could be wrong on that, I'm going from memory here.) No publisher is going to say to their stockholders they just made a move to get more games sold in physical form instead of digital, it just isn't going to happen.
