The people who are so invested in a game series that they go on the internet to complain about the colour palette of the latest iteration are precisely the ones who pick up the title in stores on day one (if only to complain some more afterwards).

Enough has been said about how awesome the facial mo cap magic looks, so I'll cut right to the chase: is the main character Ken Cosgrove from "Mad Men"?

Steve Jobs takes time off and everybody at Apple stops working.

All the information and content is there on one page, that's a good thing in my book, it's easy to navigate. I like the coloured columns, they help to highlight the headlines, but I'm not sure about the colour itself. Maybe you can find something that's easier on the eyes than neon-green
I'm afraid the real weakness of your portfolio is the content though. What I see is not necessarily bad, it's just not a whole lot of finished work. The screenshots of the HL2 level (console spam in the top left  ) don't look that impressive and it is unreleased since the mod it was made for died (not your fault, but a released project looks so much better on your resume). The shots of your Star Wars level are heavily WiP, too. One modeled and textured weapon, one textured and one untextured environment object and one concept art...I'd say: keep at it, you've got the talent to produce great content, just pump out more stuff, practise your skills while you're at it and get some more finished, kickass work up there!

What's an "unwasted" young level designer?
You mean one that isn't burnt out yet? I don't think you should advertise that!

If you want better feedback I'd recommend to put at least as much effort into the presentation as you did over at crymod. By that I don't necessarily mean more screenshots or videos but especially more information about the project. Are these maps going to be playable (if so - what's the story/mission?)? Or is this just a demo reel to show off your custom assets (if so - what's custom and what's borrowed from sb else?) etc.
Welcome to MapCore by the way!

Classic internet atheist going on right here. Telling me my mindset of belief isn't as healthy as being deceived and lazy, believing what you want to, even when the evidence says other wise. If I can make one recommendation, stay away from Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, Barker, and other vocal atheist, they're an embarrassment to the rest of the atheist who know any better.
Bunglo, do you study theology? It seems like you have spent quite some time on this subject. Yet I'm not sure whether you are a religious believer, an atheist or agnostic.

Dux posted this on Facebook, but this is surely interesting enough to be shared among all of us here. The Wolfire team discovered that somebody is selling their (!) game "Lugaru" for 0,99 $ on the app store. For comparison: the genuine "Lugaru HD" copy sold by Wolfire through the App Store costs 9,99$. It isn't necessary to mention that this hurts their business. The kicker is that the person(s) who sell the counterfeit copy claim that they have all the rights to do so, because the code to the game is open source AND that Apple hasn't taken any action yet. The later is most likely related to the fact that their support is slow, but the more people hear about this, the faster Apple is going to fix this and ensure that it isn't going to happen again.

You guys should read title: "Duty Calls (Bulletstorm promo)". EA is mocking itself!

The Call of Duty games are by Activision, so EA is mocking its competition!
I'm curious to see what makes Bulletstorm so superior to CoD, but the idea for this is great!

I'm not sure what you guys expected, maybe it's the long development time, but with me it's quite the opposite: I'm positively surprised that it comes out at all! I think the trailer is hilarious and they are making the best out of a game, whose development can only be described as an epic trainwreck. It doesn't look like it will be the next big leap in fps gaming, more like Duke 3D on steroids. Balls to the walls action coupled with Duke humour. If it has multiplayer, I'm sold.
