Sorry for letting you down folks! All isn't lost yet, but it's a too big of a job for such a small team and finding an investor/publisher for a singleplayer console game is damn near impossible these days. I'm very skeptical we would be able to acquire the amount of money we're looking for through Kickstarter (especially after you have deducted all the fees).
Quote from Senturaso hey this is what i have been working on. so yeah, check it out if you're into oldschool shizzle. or don't, this is a forum post not a government sanctioned message.

Looks cool Sentura, are you a designer on the project?
To those who enjoyed the video: the Kixeye Website is pretty fun, too. :derp:
I'm going to be at Gamescom from Wednesday to Friday. I'd love to chat with MapCorians, any plans for a meet-up yet? Send a mail to fb [at] iventurecapital.com if you want to meet spontaneously during the convention.
Those of you who follow the 'Pirates of New Horizons' blog have read that the project's future is looking grim at the moment.
I will handle Exit Strategy Entertainment related matters on the side from now on and dedicate most of my time to iVenture Capital as a 'Business Intelligence Analyst' . They're growing a portfolio of game companies and I will help them to accomplish this. The job is basically like being James Bond but with less firearms and more spreadsheets.
I know this will probably not apply to many users here, but if you're working on a f2p app or online game, you can show first results of the game's performance and you're looking for smart money - drop me a PM. We're also looking for programmers, designers and artists to join the studios we've invested in. If that sounds interesting to you hit me up as well.
The latest episode started like a car commercial and turned out to be the best one of this season thus far IMO. The season is finally picking up steam and I feel excited about where it is going ![]()

Its like my flat turns into Mapcoria and I'm the only one missing
Yeah, well same position in theory, work might differ a bit though from my usual day-to-day work in Frankfurt as dependencies and everything is completely shifted (for starters, the 9-hour time delay makes direct communication during work hours pretty hard). I hope I can go more into details once I'm there.
Sleep during the day. Work during the night. If Carmack did it - you can do it, too. ![]()
Blizzard seems to be the new hotspot for newlyweds!

EA is now the antihero of the games industry: http://www.ea.com/news/eamaxis-sue-zyng ... fringement
Quote from IzunoWhat about day 1 DLC that's free with new purchase? For example, the Catwoman bundle pack for Arkham City was free with new copies but $10 if you bought used or rented. (also that wasn't on disk...just it was available day 1).
I'm also wondering...is that DLC reason enough for people to buy the new copy instead of renting or a 2nd hand purchase when they have the choice? Or does it just punish those who bought the full copy and now need to download additional content first before they can play it?
About the time you described the 'change resolution' process I lost it... ![]()
"Red Orchestra 2: GOTY Edition" for 4,49 €?

P.S. Who wants my 3 guest passes for the game???
Quote from SkjalgI actually think it would be cool if they went all medieval ages with swords, axes, shields, archers, catapults and trebuchets, With all the destruction going on and stuff it would be awesome. Ofcourse they could spice it up a bit with a wizards-expansion just to complete the clichés in video gaming, but even so I think it would be awesome.
That would be amazing. Please do this @ EA DICE! ![]()
Please excuse me while I go and create videos of unparalleled levels of in-game destruction, all-out vehicle warfare and redefined online gameplay.
I just watched "Law abiding citizen". Never heard of it before, no expectations, turned out to be really good.
The demo was fun, I think I'll pick it up for rainy days. "From Dust" is ~4 EUR, might as well add that to my shopping cart, too. I heard good things about it.
Quote from Rick_DI'll add to this that the game is 33% off on Steam now. I loved Max Payne I & II. Will this game let me relive these experiences or ruin my childhood memories?
Also: Holy bazooka..hi Livinghell! :derp:
buy it, it's awesome as shit. really polished experience, incredibly smooth and well-crafted. an absolute 95% in my opinion. people are being bitchy cry-baby faggots as usual because their nostalgia goggles are on so tight the blood is being restricted from flowing to their brains.
if it wasn't called max payne 3 it'd be in the middle of a cumshot gangbang with journalists lining up to douse it with their rotten impotent seed.
it has a heavy cinematic feel and you are not 100% in control from start to finish, but big deal, when shit like babby's first foreigner murder simulator sells millions on their bi-weekly release schedules do you really expect something like this to get rave reviews. i think you'll see this go down as one of the games people look back on in 5 years and wonder why it wasn't a bigger hit.

OK, gonna buy it. Thanks, Rick! :derp:
