You guys should definitely check out Hannibal.
Anthony Bourdain's new show, Parts Unknown aired and Louis C.K's Oh My God is apparently pretty good.
Quote' timestamp='1363802151' post='326920']Don't agree with cyberjunkie, 3.5mm jack can only buffer stereo signal, you have a 5.1 surround setup that you paid for and it would be a waste to not use it, specially since nowadays a good movie or a good game must be experienced in surround to get the most out of the experience.
What you really need, is a receiver. I thought these things were a waste of money before, but what they provide more than justifies the investmenent. They allow you to connect various game consoles, PC, Bluray player, etc, etc to the same hub, and it decodes surround sound, so if you connect your PC to a receiver via HDMI (like I'm doing) the receiver will decompile the the audio signal, leaving the PC alone, that is such a nice plus specially for games.
Geez! Completely ignored the bit about him surround sound speakers. Sorry!
Didn't suggest a receiver knowing well that those would be more expensive than the speakers he bought. An external USB sound card is the best solution. I guess Zacker bought that now.
Use the 3.5mm jack from the laptop and connect it to the speakers. Mute the TV speakers.

My M-Audio BX5 D2 monitor speakers came in today. Time to go and listen to all my music all over again.

Nice pic. Where is this place? Is it down the river, south of the London Eye and so on. Is it near Vauxhall? I remember going for a press event to a place that looks just like that, when I visited London.
Randi destroys everything hocus-pocus. Here's him at TED
Happy New Year guys~
Congrats Generalvivi!~
Nice new change. I'm really liking it. Definitely will be visiting Mapcore much more often now.
Everyone's busy I'm sure but I (and many others I'm sure) appreciate the effort. Thanks again!
Really depends on what your usage is like. If you take 15 minutes to travel to work and are on your PC at all times, you can simply forget the need of having a smartphone. If you're travelling at least an hour a day, sure a 4.7-inch screen phone loaded with a tons of apps, everything from comic book readers to games to IRC clients is really what you need. You may not feel like you do, but use it and you start realizing that it's actually fun, also more convenient than a tablet or notebook. I spend close to 3-4hrs travelling everyday and I love my Galaxy Nexus.
Built a rig for my cousin, put some of the parts from my aging rig in it (He's 10 and is just getting into computers)
Returned back home and built the rest of my rig -

Picked this up from Korea this week. It's a 27-inch, IPS panel, LED-backlit, 2560x1440 display - 1 DVI port and brightness controls. That's it. It's called the Achieva Shimian QH270.
Fun bit - I paid $210 for it. It kicks ass!

Apparently, India has blocked Piratebay AND Vimeo. I can still access them but that's probably because of the DNS I'm using. But seriously, why would anyone ban Vimeo?!
Congrats skdr~ ![]()
Bought this for the HTPC - keyboard and trackpad in one, Logitech K400, cheap too - some 40 USD. I use a remote control when I use XBMC.

Sony 55HX929/925
Samsung UA55D8000YR
LG 55LW6500 - Best 3D (if you want it, personally, it doesn't interest me)
Each of these models is available in 46 size as well, I think.
