Never got around to trying out Peace Walker, if only they'd released it a couple of years earlier when I actually used my PSP D:

Anyway, as awesome as this pack is, then it does feel a bit weak that it doesn't have MGS1 or Twin Snakes. Still, been planning on replaying MGS2 for a while now, but I might as well postpone that until this is out.

Who's movies, Kaufman's or Gondry's? Most stuff Kaufman is involved in is highly recomendable IMO

Aye, Adaptation is brilliant, plus I really liked Synecdoche, New York. Being John Malcovich is great as well ~

  • The problem of crunch time in game development

    • Mazy
    • May 29, 2011 at 6:20 PM

I don't mind crunching (or rather overtime) that much as long as it's on my own accord. Most times when I hear a producer suggesting overtime then it usually makes it have the opposite effect on me; I somehow feel that my personal investment in my work is being torn away by forcing me to do it. I also have the, maybe naive, point of view that working in a games company everybody should be responsible and flexible enough to get the best results and have the freedom to do it in the manner the deem best, which obviously is hard when you're working cross disciplines and have dependencies from others, and when you have a family waiting for you at home

Anyway, like some of you have also talked about, I do my best work when everybody's left and there's no meetings or random conversations to distract the task at hand, and when you're motivated by what you're working on then that doesn't really feel like overtime.

Why is there no mass graves I'm very sorry to say, I give this portfolio 2/10, but if you add mass graves and crimes against humanity I will easily bump it up to at least a 6 xD

Got it Monday and I've been playing it quite a bit, love it. Reason I haven't made a thread about it is that I usually get the impression that I'm the only person here who plays racing games, but I guess that's not entirely true . Also, Dirt 2 is probably on my Top 5 of best games of this console generation.

    So grats, you rock!

Cool stuff KFS. Was initially a bit put off by the mega headers dividing each level but I got used to it fairly quickly.

You need a rainbow unicorn themed map on your portfolio tho, so much dark brown and grey stuff

I liked it when a mod could just be a cool idea and roll with default assets, rather than a "safe" idea with production values rivalling a commercial game for free.

Yeah, that period from 2000-2003 was damn good stuff. I always get über nostalgic when I think back on hanging out for hours each day in #mapcore, almost daily playtesting fresh new maps and having an ocean of cool (and often kinda broken ) mods to check out. Good times~~
