Yup, Volare hasn’t aged very well D:
But still, it has some quite neat locations, really impressed me back then. Especially the waterfall ILLA did for it was amazing (Or was it Simsalabim that did those textures?).
Also all mike's maps are totally amazing (With the exception of Survivor, which never did anything for me, and sadly that was the official one in CS D:)

How do I make that appear? Or is it for Maya?
Goto your Utilities tab (Far right), click "Configure Button Sets" (Right side again). Then browse down "MAX STANDARD" to Polygon Counter, pull it over to a slot and you're set. Very useful if you're modelling, especially now that they've removed the ability to check the polygon count on a selection by pressing 7 in the latest max :G

Zaphod, try and check out my comments on the first page of this thread, I was really frustrated when I began playing the game because I simply couldn't get into the world, and the fact that everybody else was praising it so much just made me really aggressive and angry. If I hadn't given it a second chance (and actually a third and fourth chance :G) I would never have gotten into the game. However once I got past the obvious flaws and annoyances of the game and began accepting it for what it was it really came through.
Anyway, now that I've gotten through pretty much all the major quests (Main quest, plus all the guild quests except for the last ones in the Theives Guild) its starting to get very repetitive and dull. But given that my savegame clock says I've been playing the game for around 97 hours then I'd say thats a pretty good Fun:Money ratio.
So yeah, I totally understand your frustration.
Also regarding the PC version (I ended up playing the 360 version). The game ran fine with the details cranked up fairly high, but whenever I killed a character outside and the ragdoll physics were activated the game would go totally crazy with the framerate dropping to like 1-5fps. Really nasty shit :G

I opted out because it costs money. Also, I'll see what's there faster on the internet than I would actually going and standing in lines all day.
Indeed, some of the guys that went last year didnt go to the Sony conference and they the first time they actually saw some of the demos was on the last day on a laptop
Show went so fast and they didnt display any of their techdemos/demonstrations on the show floor. But its not really that you get a better pick on the news by being there but rather the experience.
Wont be going this year btw :G~

Still not quite sure if I'll be going

Hardly impressive today but it really made a huge impression on me back then, certainly made me aware of how awesome vertical action can be~
And sorry if I'm going in a bit different direction than the thread suggested, just remembered these maps and got all nostalgic ;D
Also KFS's NS maps made me really mad at times when I tried to do something better myself, so fckn awesome

RD is AMAZING

That middle one looks mighty snappy. Good stuff KFS~

Aye gin, Double Fine certainly has had its share of bad luck and trouble, but Tim Schafer = makes it all worth it.
Its still a wonder to me how come Microsoft dropped their deal with Double Fine, if that had gone through maybe it wouldve sold as many copies as it deserved

The latest shots are awesome, really love the feel you got going, lots of 45 degree and vertical stuff, excellent work. Some of the facades are still somewhat bland, but overall the map looks quite unique. Really like the way you're going with this map, hope to see more goodness soon
