I spend ages on the first Commandos, truly immersed myself in that game for months. And even with that said Commandos 2 blew me away. One of the best games ever made, think the lighter difficulty really helped in bringing in new people as well.

Thats why my disappointment with Commandos 3 felt so much greater. They just made Commandos 2 too good all round, plain and simple. Couldn't top it . The levels I tried in 3 just wasn't exciting, 2 had much more energy and power.

Oh and dont get me started on that latest 3D one, I mean wtf!?

I'm on Haomorush, lots of Io guys play there. Just hit level 40 with my Shaman there but I kinda plan on taking a break now (40 always takes the steam off, plus I wanna play other stuff).

Oh and its a PvP server, so if you're still using the Druid from Bloodhoof then you're fucked if you wanna move there

MMO or RTS, either way I'm excited. It's not often that Blizzard announce new games

I'd really like to see a new IP from them though, all this Starcraft/Warcraft/Diablo stuff is starting to run kind of thin :G

They got nothing on Red Faction......apart from the not sucking bit

Looks good, the first pics I saw didn't really impress, but seeing it in motion it does look pretty damn ace.

Some pretty interesting stuff coming from LucasArts lately, Euphoria n shit (Even though it doesn't look like this is developed inhouse by them).

Oh gawd I cant wait! Ever since that fucking tiny poster at E3 (05?) I've been wanting Fallout 3 real bad. Really hope (and think) that Bethesda are clever enough to keep it real to the Fallout roots but still add some new stuff.

Definitely exciting, by far one of the games I'm looking most forward to hearing about~

Even though I've stated that I wouldn't play a new CoD each time they announce one then I always end up getting them once they're released. Doubt it'll be any different with this one.

As people said, really unimaginative action games, but they do their job well and sometimes thats all you need . Oh and I actually liked CoD3, nothing special but okay fun

The look you got going reminds me of a lot of Riddick (and FEAR with the location). Like people said, some colour variation wouldn't hurt, but its interesting to see something D3 based that isn't a generic space station corridor, although this is hardly original either.

    Quote from dc-mike

i remember a mission in the demo sp campaign where an assault went wrong and you ended up being hunted by tanks to a friendly helicopter near the beach was fun as hell, and got the adrenaline pumping.. loved it.

Yeah, thats pretty much the level that everybody that played the SP campaign remembered the best. Was fucking intense since you have to get to a specific point in a short while, so you'd just run around fields looking for a vehicle to grab, and end up having to make a compromise by picking a tractor

At its best it was a brilliant game. Was pretty messy most of the time though.

But yeah, OF2, go for it. ARMA was nice, but it felt a bit too much like OF with that clunky control scheme. Half BF2 half OF please

  • C&C3 on the 360

    • April 23, 2007 at 10:28 AM

Well I am thinking about getting it for the 360 since it looks better than it does on my PC and runs better as well. Also it has points!

But yeah, one thing is playing the demo, another is playing through the entire game. It's probably bound to get frustrating in the later levels of the campaign or online.

  • How many of you wore a suit to your interview?

    • Mazy
    • April 23, 2007 at 9:43 AM

Hah! Nah, only time I've worn a suit related to work was at the Blood Money release party, and even there you didn't really have to

Those professors don't know shit dude, game development is all about the rock n' roll!

Tried the demo yesterday expecting the worst, but actually it works pretty damn well. I mean when I played the last mission of the demo I was really starting to like the controls and feel of the game. It's a pretty damn impressive and intuitive controls scheme with this tab based system, although the sensitivity of the camera is kinda mental at times. Having played through the GDI campaign on PC already (Saving the best for last!) I can definitely see why alot of the changes in the design have been made, but unlike many other multi platform games they actually work equally well on the PC and 360

Anyway, what you guys think? Am I nuts for actually being excited about an RTS on a console?

Been using it for quite a while. Even though I think all these drones that constantly go to conferences and talk about networking are ridiculous then I think getting a lot of people on a thing like this could end up being useful some day
